An entire traditional house over 100 years old in the rural area of Noto, Shiga-cho, is available for rent. This is not a tourist destination.Surrounded by fields and mountains, you wake up in the morning to the sound of birds, and at night it is surprisingly quiet.The kitchen is stocked with tools for a lifestyle that includes fermentation, such as miso and pickles, which have been passed down in this region.There is nothing special; "everyday life" is the best treat this house offers. We used furniture inherited from local homes and flooring from a demolished temple.It is a space where the time of this land remains, with its scratches and tree rings intact. Our accommodation is standardly room-only. Upon request, we also offer experiences such as campfires, plant dyeing, and making local home-cooked meals (reservation required).The hosts are locals who have lived here for a long time.
