Welcome to Kanminka Kanade🌱 Even though it's a travel destination, it welcomes you with a sense of security, as if you were returning home to a relative's house. We moved from Hokkaido to Noto four years ago. This is a private accommodation where the owner lives, where you can experience local life, meet people, and enjoy the slow passage of time. Gather around the irori, gaze out over the rice fields, or have fun playing board games. You can not only explore Noto, but also enjoy an experience of "travelling as if you were living there". This 150-year-old traditional house, built in the first year of the Meiji era, was renovated in 2022.The entire bathroom area has been replaced, and the kitchen and living room are equipped with underfloor heating, so you can enjoy a comfortable stay.The irori (traditional Japanese hearth) that was buried under the floor has been restored, preserving the good old days. The rooms are developed in 2 Japanese-style rooms with 8 tatami mats on the first floor and one Western-style room with 8 tatami mats on the second floor.Basically, it is not a shared room.Two Japanese-style rooms are next to each other, so you can use them as a group.Japanese-style rooms are a priority for large groups. Western-style rooms are separated, so you don't have to worry about the noise.The stairs are steep, so guests with weak feet will be guided to the Japanese-style room on the first floor. Please feel free to discuss the number of people.

Please bring your own. Close to the Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, the only coastline in Japan. You can spend a relaxing time enjoying the seasonal sea views. An entire traditional house over 100 years old in the rural area of Noto, Shiga-cho, is available for rent. This is not a tourist destination.Surrounded by fields and mountains, you wake up in the morning to the sound of birds, and at night it is surprisingly quiet.The kitchen is stocked with tools for a lifestyle that includes fermentation, such as miso and pickles, which have been passed down in this region.There is nothing special; "everyday life" is the best treat this house offers. We used furniture inherited from local homes and flooring from a demolished temple.It is a space where the time of this land remains, with its scratches and tree rings intact. Our accommodation is standardly room-only. Upon request, we also offer experiences such as campfires, plant dyeing, and making local home-cooked meals (reservation required).The hosts are locals who have lived here for a long time. Only one group of guests can stay per day. Please feel free to use the 5 tatami-mat bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with all the utensils and dishes you need for cooking. The tatami living room has a sofa, a table, and a 40-inch TV. The car park can accommodate up to 3 cars, and there is also an indoor car park, making it ideal for parking motorbikes. Please note that there is a separate price for stays of one month or more. We will discuss the frequency of cleaning and replenishment of supplies separately. Noto cottage "Hinoki no ie" is a wooden house with Onsen (Hot spring). Surrounded by the nature of the Noto area, it's located right in-between of Kanazawa and Oku-Noto (about 1 hour by car which is recommended) making it convenient for sightseeing. You can relax in the living room, the tatami room or the cozy open space. The bath, made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) When you step into the bathroom your whole body is enveloped in the scent of the wood. The house is also very close to the ocean.
