Apartment holiday rentals in Hahnenkammsee

We were in the apartment over the weekend to explore the area around Altmühlsee and Brombachsee. An ideal apartment for this. The Altmühlsee can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, the Brombachsee by car in 20 minutes. Gunzenhausen, with its beautiful old town and good restaurants, is also only 8-10 minutes away by car. The apartment is perfect for 4 adults (there were only three of us), it is very spacious, modern, has a nice large balcony with good views. It is a quiet area to relax and feel good. The kitchen is well equipped, all the necessary things were there, even dishwashing detergent, dish towels and tabs for the dishwasher. A bottle of water and pads for the coffee machine, as well as tea, were also available. Very attentive! I highly recommend the apartment. Thorsten is a courteous and friendly host, gives many tips and is always helpful. Thank you so much for letting us be guests here.

We had a great stay in Julia's beautiful apartment, furnished with great attention to detail. The apartment is super equipped, with everything you need - the service is great (beds already made, soap, toilet paper, many towels are ready, toys for the children, baby bed, etc.) and the treatment of the guests is very warm. We had super comfortable days at the place! Everything corresponds to the description and the photos, the apartment is clean and equipped with everything necessary and the communication with Kerstin was very friendly and easy. The apartment is quietly located on the outskirts and you can use it as a starting point for cycling tours around the Altmühl and Brombachsee. Definitely a recommendation!

We had a wonderful time! The apartment is a perfect countryside getaway. We enjoyed all the birds that came to sing in the garden. The apartment is in the back of the house and behind is a big meadow covered in dandelions, where geese like to hang out. It is very calming. 5 minute walk to the lake, 5 minute car ride to the store and very nice bakery. Many good restaurants in the area (mostly car is needed). It was awesome to bbq in our yard or just relax with a book. Bikes are included. The apartment was pristinely clean. Arne and Sandrine are perfect hosts: friendly, responsive and kind people! The accommodation was exactly as described and is highly recommended! What far exceeded my expectations was the location: nestled in a gently hilly, partly wooded landscape, partly characterised by heathland, my hiking heart beat faster. There are numerous places worth seeing (castle ruins, a former monastery complex, bathing pond, etc.), which you can explore directly from the accommodation on beautiful hiking trails. By car, you can quickly reach other picturesque and very interesting places that are not only worth a visit: Nördlingen, Burg Harburg, Bopfingen, Wemding, Katzenstein or Neresheim with an abbey church whose ceiling frescoes by Martin Knoller are second to none!!! On the trips there, I came across so many other promising places and regions, so that there is still a lot to discover for future visits :) I am not least grateful to my always friendly hostess Elke for the delicious restaurant tips!

We were passing through on motorcycles. We were allowed to park them in the carport - very cool. We were allowed to throw our wet things from the trip into the dryer in the basement for a small tip. The apartment was sparkling clean and we slept wonderfully. We would sleep here again if we were in the region again. Thank you and best regards!

The apartment is really nice and the landlord is very, very friendly! I was able to find the key, but he brought it to me himself🥹... The key is easy to find. I just wasn't used to self-check-in. The apartment is quiet and very cozy. I would definitely recommend it.☺️👍

I stayed here for about 2.5 months, and I truly felt at home. My hosts, Hannelore and Herbert, were so warm and welcoming, like family. The house is spotless and located in a peaceful area, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I had the chance to meet many of Hannelore and Herbert's friends, and they invited me to participate in various activities. They also helped me immensely with my German learning, practicing with me whenever I needed it. Overall, my time in Ehingen will always be filled with unforgettable memories and wonderful friends. We felt very comfortable in Mavie's apartment. A special feature is the English fireplace, which spreads a cosy feeling and comfort. From the house you can take beautiful hikes and in the nearby area there are beautiful towns with good gastronomy. Highly recommended!

The three of us were looking for a quiet place where we could study together for a few days before the exam period and organise our free time. We found more than we were looking for with Friedrich and Birgit. The apartment was clean, tidy, very tastefully furnished, equipped with everything you could wish for and everything you hadn't thought of yourself beforehand. They reacted very flexibly and accommodatingly to a short-term change of plan. Thanks to Friedrich's tips, we were also able to make our afternoons very versatile. All in all, we definitely couldn't have imagined a more pleasant stay, we will definitely be happy to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully restored apartment. Peter met us upon arrival and patiently answered questions even though he had provided a detailed binder of information. He recommended Würzburg and places to see there, as we wanted a less-busy city to visit. Great advice. We had a very clean space. Good coffee and other non-necessary but appreciated extras. We’d definitely stay again.

Quiet private oasis with roof terrace in the historic ensemble in the old town. Everything you need for a successful holiday is within walking distance. We slept very well in the bed and enjoyed the days in the beautiful Eichstätt.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The place was spotless, cozy, and had such a warm, welcoming vibe. I especially loved the terrace. Birgit was super friendly and helpful, and she made sure everything was just right. The location was quiet and relaxing. It honestly felt like a home away from home:)

The house is as it appears in the photos. Everything is very well cared for and beautifully decorated. The quiet area, close to a supermarket and cafes and a few minutes by car from the highway. Spacious parking. Very good and fast communication with the owner. I would repeat. The kitchenware is somewhat scarce.

We had a very nice stay. The home was clean and the location is fantastic. Only downside during our stay was that the elevator was not operational and we had to lug our bags up five flights of stairs. Our host was very accommodating, however, and did help us bring everything up and we had no issues during our stay. Augsburg is a beautiful city and this was a beautiful home. We are so thankful they allow us to stay there.

Check-in was very easy, we were allowed to use a parking bay directly. The apartment was very nice and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped - everything you needed was easy to find. There is also a 2nd small apartment, Liz also lives in the house - that's just good to know. There was a nicely laid out chicken coop, which our son was very enthusiastic about. It is recommended to have the whirlpool explained in peace. The surroundings are quiet and the view is beautiful - you can relax here! We highly recommend a trip to the zoo or Playmobil Funpark. It's best to bring a change of clothes to the Playmobil Funpark - because there's a lot of water to play with. Liz was friendly and available for questions.

Very good location, near the city center and good to walk. The flat is very good and have a very nice balcony to enjoy the end of the day.

Andrea was very welcoming and you definitely can see how much attention to detail she has put into every room. We liked the whole experience with whirlpool, terrace and the free Netflix. We would definitely recommend it anyone, who wants some fun and quiet time :))
