Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Gwangmyeong-si

Host was helpful with prompt responses, and gave clear instructions for the checkin. Love the portable TV as well! Wanted to use the lovely attic for reading but it was a little hot up there, would have been perfect if there is airconditioning in the attic too! Note that the bathroom is not directly connected to the room, but that seems to be how the old style houses generally are. It was a unique experience though, love that the hot tub was spacious and even had a skylight! Room was comfortable and cozy :)

This accommodation is one of the nicest I have stayed at. Such a beautiful traditional house with lots to do. I definitely would have loved to stay longer! Really recommend it!

It was an absolute joy to stay in this lovely home, the house is beautiful and the location is great. We loved the quiet neighbourhood and it was so easy to get everywhere. My wife and I stayed here for two nights in June 2025. If you are looking for a truly unique, peaceful but modern hanok experience in Seoul, you must come and stay here. Each and every furniture and amenity has been curated and carefully thought of. The local recommendations and little details provided were spot on. Our host Jee and her husband has made a space to come and and unwind any stress in a truly beautiful setting and in a neighbourhood away from the typical “tourist” areas of Seoul. This is genuine modern hanok experience - highly recommended for the discerning couple.

We spent a week at the beautiful "retreat"-Hanok - and had a wonderful time. Lindsey's Hanok has the true spirit of traditional Korea, and we just loved it (just be aware that traditional Korean housing of course is not as spacious as you might be used from modern hotels etc - but the Hanok still has enough room for everything and provides you with just everything you need for your stay) The area Bukch'chon is a lovely contrast to the nearby Jong-ro and Eulji-ro areas, with nice Cafés, restaurants and shops. Palaces can be reached in a 30 minutes walk. We can definitely recommend this beautiful place and the hosts, who were super friendly and replied very quickly to all questions we had: although there is no reception at the Hanok, they were constantly available via messaging , which was very helpful.

Had a really pleasant stay here! Everything is squeaky clean, comfortable, and cosy. It had everything I needed. Lots of food choices and a train station within five minutes walk, it’s as convenient as it can get.

Host was very responsive, the location of the place is amazing and close to a lot of cool shops and restaurants. The place came stocked with everything you might need for a short stay in a new city (dishes, laundry soap, etc). Highly recommend!

Cleanliness is the most important thing when choosing a place to stay, but I liked that this place was so spotlessly clean! The host communicated well, so I had a really good stay:)

Great stay. The room was a little dark as there was no sunlight. 1 meter outside my window was another building. But this was as expected for this price and location. Great stay, comfortable bed, great kitchen, great bathroom. Everything was as described and the instructions were very clear.

Great location with numerous restaurants in the area, and access to multiple subway lines as well! The place was quaint and the small touch of setting up the radio to Seoul’s classical music station was really nice. We can’t wait to come back for another trip in the future!

The place is quiet and spacious compare to the other airbnb's in seoul. Definitely very worth the buck. It may be quite far from the central seoul but it is very accessible to subway line 4. Convenience stores and a lot of restaurants nearby.

I stayed for a month and was so satisfied! It was so easy to go to other places because the subway was close, and there were many restaurants and cafes nearby, so it was easy to choose a menu! The host was so kind, and it was nice to get a quick response when I needed something or had a question! It was a little difficult to move the carrier because there was no elevator, but everything else was good. If I come to Korea, I want to stay here again!

Fun stay in an interesting neighbourhood! The place was extremely clean and very comfortable. The host was very friendly and answered all questions quickly. Things were generally as-expected and the experience was seamless and enjoyable. The floating bed was a unique touch and we enjoyed it, but those who are especially tall or have limited mobility might find it a challenge to get in and out of.

Very easy to find and clear instructions from the host. It's very near a busstop for a direct bus to the airport as well which I found very convenient. The room itself has all basic amenities and is spacious and very clean. Just note that the mattress is quite hard if you're sensitive to that. It wasn't a problem for me and I would definitely like to come back sometime.

We enjoyed our stay here! Location was pretty close to good restaurants and shopping in Hongdae/Hongik Station area. The host let us know that the room was ready for check in earlier than the expected time and it was very convenient that they had an area for secured luggage storage. The air conditioner worked great and bed was very comfortable! Only issue we had was figuring out how to get warm water for a shower but would stay again!

It was a very pleasant stay, very close to Hongdae, I think Hongdae is the best place to visit, and the homestay is very close to the subway station bus station, so it is very convenient to stay here.The homestay is very cozy and feels very homey. The room is not the same as a normal homestay. There are kitchen utensils, washing machine, dryer, laundry detergent, and even curling hair sticks. It is super friendly to girls, and the surrounding environment is very quiet. At night, you don't have to worry about being noisy.The host is also huge and responsive.It's very hard to walk around, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I come.

Great space. Just enough for one person. I think two people would feel cramped. The space is smaller than in the pictures. I like how she decorated the place. It added more warmth to the room. I enjoyed chilling with the warm lighting and under the covers at night. It felt cosy and like home. Host is kind and allowed an early check in, with specific instructions on how to get to her place. She also recommended me places to visit nearby and responded quickly whenever I asked her questions. I’m a solo female traveler so I felt safe because there’s two passcodes to enter the building, unlock the door and a small lift. Cons: There is a steep slope you have to climb before reaching the Airbnb. So pushing luggage up & down is a hassle. The toilet is also really small. It takes about an hour if you want to go to myeongdong/gangnam/dongdaemun. But the airbnb is closer to the airport and highly accessible via bus/train. Overall, great deal for the price! You get what you pay for!
