Holiday rentals with breakfast in Guimaraes

Quinta de Portelada is a heavenly, quiet and well-located place for visiting the Douro region. The apartment is very well equipped, ultra clean and functional with a great view of the vineyards of the area. Unfortunately, we did not meet João because he was traveling but he was really quick to answer all our questions, Sonia who was there to welcome us was exemplary kindness and so accommodating throughout the stay, the lunches are really well stocked (ham,cheese, jam, juice, fresh fruit, breads and fresh croissant of the day) We highly recommend this oasis without any problem.

Lurdes’ place stood out by far when compared with similar rentals.Everything was designed to be attractive to the visitors.Rooms were large enough and well decorated.The entire Rural Hotel was kept in top quality.There was enough space to wonder about the gardens within the premises.We enjoyed a vegan dinner prepared especially for us by Lurdes.Finally before we left we were kindly taken to our Camino De Santiago trail by EMIL,Lurdes husband.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Excellent stay. A farm with a magnificent and very well-kept outdoor space. A host, Mr. Rui, who strives to make our stay as rewarding as possible. Sonia does everything to make us feel at home, preparing excellent and varied breakfasts. Alpha, who played with our Leia. Well-located farm to walk around Gerês and excellent to rest and recharge. A place to return to.

Nuno’s place exceeded our expectations. It has a beautiful balcony with a view over the Douro river. The pool area is peaceful and breakfast provided was an added bonus. Nuno was very helpful and provided us with great recommendations for wine tasting and spots to visit. The apartment is spacious, clean and has a small kitchen which we were able to use to cook in the evenings.

We had a wonderful stay at this property for a long weekend away with friends. The house was even better than it appeared in the photos - incredibly spacious, good sized pool out the back, plenty of sun-loungers. There were great spaces for everyone to be together - but plenty of room for people to relax away from the group. The journey into Porto was very easy and affordable by Uber and no issues delivering food in. Check in was flexible and easy, with the host welcoming us and explaining how everything worked. We also didn’t realise until just before that breakfast was included - and everyday we woke to a huge selection of breads, fruit, cheese, meats, pastries and cereal! Really could not fault either the host or the home we stayed in. 10/10 in every aspect and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

We (family with two almost adult children) really enjoyed our stay with João and his family! The property is incredibly beautiful on the slope with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The garden is laid out with much love. The fruit can be harvested. There is a tennis court (but rackets and balls must be brought). The bungalow is equipped with everything you need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice. The living area and kitchen are a little more simply equipped. But this did not bother us. There is a private pool with 4 loungers and lounge furniture, which we enjoyed very much. The surrounding area is great for excursions and hikes in the national park.

Spacious, clean apartment, nothing missing. Feel at home. Very welcoming, helpful, friendly hosts. In small quiet village, not far from Douro, and 20 minutes from Porto by car.

Very friendly host, advice on restaurants in Arcos, walk on passadicos . Region to discover by Geres, Soajo and Lindoso for espigheiros, but traditional granaries. Village of Sistelo, Moncao, Vila nova de Cerveira. Don't forget Ponte de Lima. Taste the wineho verde produced from the region, as well as the arroz de sarrabulho. Quinta Lamoso is a green setting, quiet, swimming pool ,river and "guinguette" 15 minutes walk.

We stayed with Rui and Olivia for two nights while in Porto. We had a blast in town and loved their place! Rui met us with the keys, arranged for discounted parking, a tour on the Douro, and spent some time going through a map with us, highligting some great places. The apt is brand new and very comfortable and very central. The place was stalked with fruits and delicious treats that Olivia made herself. We really appreciated the personal touch. Rui and Olivia have a couple of apartments in the building so they were around if we needed anything at all. We loved staying at their apt and would def recommend the apartments to anyone visiting Porto. They had some great restaurant and bar recommends as well!

José's estate is beautiful with stunning views of the hills. The accommodation is very comfortable. And the location is great for exploring the local area. José was always very available. Breakfast is included, hearty, and delicious. I would highly recommend this rental.

Well located, spacious apartment. Close enough to walk into town, but a little outside the tourist frenzy. Marta was a gracious host, meeting us outside in the rain to help us park our rental car and show us around the apartment. She left a wonderful selection of food for our breakfasts, plus useful materials for us to plan our visit. We used four comfortable bedrooms and the common, comfortable living area. Would recommend this property to friends.

This accommodation is in a central position and has everything you need for a stay in Porto. It is 10 minutes from the train station that brings you from the airport and all the local attractions are within an easy reach. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. The host also stored our cases after check-out on the final day. I would definitely stay again!

So happy we stumbled on this place! The hosts were so sweet and showed us the best spots. The location was amazing and it was perfect for 4 of us. I would love to be able to stay here again!

Excellent local otima view, sunset from the studio is excellent, taking to the surroundings with many walkers, which settle in the stairs of the parking lot ahead, leaving the parking place with dubious security and smelly. the Oh! Porto is very well located close to the main tourist points of the Porto region!

It was the perfect place to stay. In particular, it was located right in front of the river, so the view was fantastic and it was convenient to move around. There are many people passing by in front of the accommodation, so the outside is a little messy, but the soundproofing inside the room is excellent. Other than that, it was nice that the lighting inside the accommodation was bright. The structure of the bathroom and the overall layout of the furniture, such as the mirror, were very convenient to stay, and the air conditioner was cool. The host was also very kind. Housekeeping is also available every day 👍 if you want. The water pressure in the shower and sink was a little weak, but it was a property with plenty of advantages to offset this, and I highly recommend it to other travelers.

Myself and my 2 kids stayed in the apartment for two weeks. The newly renovated apartment is very spacious for the size that it is, and immaculately presented upon arrival. The location is very central, which certainly has its benefits. Despite its proximity to all the entertainment, the apartment is tucked away and is very well insulated from the noise and light. Our visit was during the summer holiday, so it can get very busy. My only criticism is that parking directly outside was a challenge. However, this isn’t much of a problem if you don’t intend to drive around and if you don’t mind to walk a bit! A super practical and comfortable stay…. I’ll certainly be visiting again :) Lu

We really enjoyed our stay with Marta. She was always there when you needed something or had a question and was always friendly. The room and the kitchen are actually really hard to order as described, but the pictures look a little different than in reality. You can also make some cornflakes or bread for breakfast in the kitchen, but of course you can have a better brunch in the city centre of Porto. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and cannot criticize anything about the apartment. Three successful days for us.

Our stay at Quinta Dos Carqueijais was a perfect 10/10! We chose the Villa das Oliveiras, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. It truly feels like you're immersed in the forest with beautiful views of the lake. The entire property is seamlessly integrated with nature, creating an idyllic setting for complete disconnection. The accommodation itself is stunning, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable—far better than what you might expect from the photos. The breakfast is plentiful, with great attention to detail. Additionally, we had the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, which include a jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and a heated indoor pool, all at a very competitive rate. Quinta Dos Carqueijais is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend getaway or to celebrate a special occasion near the Peneda-Gerês National Park

A really lovely room just like the photos. The family were all very welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check in early as the room was ready and looked after our bags on our last day .We had a fantastic meal one evening in their restaurant, not to be missed . The only down side was it’s a reasonable walk to the old town of Porto but if you don’t mind that it’s a lovely place to stay

Amazing 400 year old home, has always been in the family. The outside garden and pool are beautiful and peaceful. Small town near by with good quaint restaurants . About one hour from Douro Valley by a beautiful drive through back country roads. Highly recommend it

Angelique is a great host and the place she has with the stay is lovely. The village is very cute and on her property she has a nice swimming pool and wonderful places to sit. She wanted to take care of everything very well for us and she did. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend this beautiful place to everyone, to completely relax and unwind.

We really liked it, pity for time, the house is very cozy, furniture according to the style. Full and hourly breakfasts, value- perfect price. Very good host

I enjoyed the Watermark very much. Hosts Rui and Ricado were always accommodating. Gave me tips in the area. Furthermore, you were always available (for questions) via text. The place was clean and you could connect with other and do things together. The surf and skate lessons with Luís were particularly good. 🤙🏼☀️ It was very good that you only had to walk a few steps around the beach from the property with the surfboard. 🏄‍♂️ The week in Espinho was very worthwhile for me.
