We were so relieved and grateful to find this place last minute after a frustrating experience with another booking. The host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, and check-in was smooth and easy. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described—if not better. It truly felt like a safe and relaxing home base during our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, especially under the circumstances. Highly recommend!

it was a beautiful holiday in a lovely and well furnished apartment. with a view of the ocean by day and the sound of waves by night. we really enjoyed joeys house and it was very convenient to have a restaurant next door. everyone was very friendly and we had a great and relaxing time. thanks!

Hashim’s place in Fumba Town is a true sanctuary. Clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for rest, reflection, or remote work. The space is modern, airy, and filled with natural light, with a balcony that feels like a private retreat. Fumba itself is calm, secure, and beautifully laid out — ideal if you want a break from the tourist buzz. What really sets this stay apart is Hashim himself: kind, respectful, and incredibly helpful without ever being intrusive. He genuinely wants you to feel at home, and it shows. Whether you’re creating, healing, or just needing a safe, quiet space — this is it. I left feeling more grounded and clear than when I arrived. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Brenda and Ire's place is a true home, not an apartment that is only rented out. Lots of quirky decor, very colourful, we loved it (family with two teenage daughters). The girls could just walk around by themselves in town, it is all very friendly. Comfy beds and shower. The rooms were a bit hot in January, but manageable with the extra fans provided. Ire, Omar and Salum were very helpful and kind. Brenda wasn't around, but provided timely and extensive communication ahead of our stay. We have been coming to Stone town since 1994; and even with the mass tourism now firmly established on Unguja, Stone town somehow manages to keep its own spirit and this place reflects that spirit. Great stay, we were very happy to come here.

Our stay was stress free and Jess’s team was very responsive. The property is beautiful as is the view. Would recommend this stay for larger groups since it’s a fairly large house. All in all, we had an amazing time

This beautiful, historic home was everything we hoped it would be and more. Millie was very friendly and helpful. We all wished we could have stayed longer.

This place is definitely worth your time looking at. I thought I’d miss being right at the beach, but honestly, we looked forward to coming ‘home’ to Joseph and David and the calm, quiet, cool of Ruby House. We spent time reading, playing games, reconnecting and resting, as well as swimming and bobbing in the creek - listening and watching birds. It is so peaceful - chatting with fishermen, and just taking in the surroundings. We went for a few day trips- the Gede ruins are well worth an hour of your time, sand dunes north of malindi were great. And we LOVED Garoda Beach - much less seaweed and less busy. I could not speak more highly of the staff - they were present but not, flexible, understanding and really wanted to help make your time enjoyable. The rooms were so comfortable. I think it may be a little hot in the very hot month, but it gets a lovely breeze and there is always the one room to escape into for an afternoon nap if necessary - but we didn’t need to do this. here everything is ok! a location as there are few I think , having travel in April , we were close to the private beach! the team is at its best! the breakfast opposite the sea is hearty ,prepared and served with care by Rama and his team. You can also trust them in what would be the order of the various interests. Even my share of wood swam with the dolphins ,organized by haji ,a member of the team. Really cool and good value for money! Between a beautiful sea and an authentic village,promoting exchanges with the locals .franchisely at the top!I recommend it without hesitation!!!

We loved the tranquility at the cottage, exactly what we needed to begin the new year. The fact that we had the unit to ourselves was amazing, perfect for couples. We got raw cow milk daily for free & even green vegetables when we requested. There was everything we needed & more, loved the home made chili offered. Catherine the help was too kind & always available to help, she’s a gem. We shall definitely be back especially because there was great Starlink Wifi! Only thing is, don’t expect calls on Safaricom or Airtel networks so it’s great when you don’t need to be on call 😀 Cheers to a great start of the year Dion 😇🙏🏽🤓 Tip; it’s near Solio conservancy, take the turn at the PCEA Nanyuki church signage, drive 2.7kms & you won’t miss it ☺️

Dolphin House is a truly unique place and experience. The position directly on the beach is priceless - I could never get sick of the view! There's a good balance of home comforts and the privacy of the house with still feeling connected with the outside, the community and just generally being in Zanzibar. We spent all of our time in the outside space - rotating between the sofas, the loungers on the beach, the table and the pool. It's incredibly well thought out and comfy! Rudy and his local team were always on hand. The chefs, in particular, are exceptional - while you are handy for plenty of restaurants and bars, we enjoyed every breakfast and most of our dinners at the villa. When you have the best spot on the beach, there was very little reason to leave!

We had great time. Very convenient to reach the tourist attractions and restaurants. The host was super and responded promptly.

A private secured and peaceful location. Walking distance to the Carrefour supermarket and Java House Cafe. Restaurants are accessible via taxi.

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.

This was my second stay. Fantastic host and house keeper. They agreed to source and deliver bouquets of roses to my girlfriends suprise when we check in. This was organised whilst I was in the UK so the surprise was seamless. I'm grateful as you made our stay even more memorable. We'll be back next year.
