Ocean Pearl - on MEGA Discount

HariRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had an amazing week at Sabrina's property with three children. The direct beach access was a real highlight. A special mention must go to Winnie, the caretaker, who was exceptionally helpful and responsive throughout our stay. She was always just a phone call away and took excellent care of us and the property. We also appreciated Sabrina taking the time to visit and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. This was a truly memorable experience.
Bungalow in Lake Bunyonyi

VIlla Bunyonyi

JeremyRating, 5 stars42 months ago
This is a beautiful place right on the banks of Lake Bunyonyi. The house overlooks the lake where you can watch the sunrise while drinking your morning coffee on the front porch. The house is on the west side of the lake but is best reached from the east side of the lake. There is safe parking within chainlink fence right by the lake. It is easy to carry your things from the parking lot to the boat. The short 15minute boat ride is included in the airbnb price. Once you reach the house, there is staff onsite and can help carry your things up the long flight of stairs from the lake to the house up on the hill. The staff is friendly and helpful with cleaning dishes and washing towels and bed sheets. There is alot to do in the area. Boats tours of the islands, animals and birds to see, hiking to overlook the lake as well as a zip line and large swing to experience. Lake Bunyonyi is a beautiful place to visit with mountains and terraced hillsides. The lake has no hippos, alligators or Bilharsia so it is safe to enjoy swimming etc. I would definitely recommend this place and we hope to go back sometime.

Welcome to Lala Salama House

We had a wonderful stay at Othman's home. It was the perfect peaceful retreat after our safari. It is very close to the beach and has its own beautiful garden. Othman is a very welcoming host and has many recommendations for both the local area and other parts of Zanzibar.

A simple "coastal retreat", Serguei's property is very nice with a private beach - a great place to escape to. Serguei was wonderful and attentive to our needs during our stay. We'll be back to escape again.

khuzi cottage 3 bedrooms overlooking turtle bay

AshleighRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 night stay at Khuzi Cottage and Lynda was a great host. She helped us out alot with info and even did a bit of grocery shopping for us before our arrival which was a life saver. Falista the house keeper was great fun and all round super. She kept the cottage nice and clean, nothing was too much trouble for her and served us up some delicious seafood meals! Ruben the groundskeeper kept the outside area and swimming pool spicknspan and always had a smile on his face. Truly lovely staff. We organised Jayne an Ayah to come help with our 1yr old daughter and she did a fantastic job too. Our daughter was very sad to say goodbye to everyone. The cottage was as the pics depicted and was only a stone throw away from the quiet and stunning Turtle bay beach. We struggled a bit with the heat as April is a very humid but did have fans in each of the rooms which helped. All in all a memorial and fabulous time in Watamu. We'll be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Karin's place, and overall, it was a beautiful experience. The only thing that seemed a bit unusual was when Karin mentioned that I exceeded the number of guests, which I had already communicated with the property manager, I asked him the number of the host he replied that he is the one.Additionally, late checkout. I had explicitly asked and even emphasized that if it caused any inconvenience, I would find an alternative. According to the house manager, he had communicated this to Karin's husband. A tip for future guests: clarify these details on Airbnb immediately to avoid any misunderstandings.

Great apartment to share with a friend! 2 separate bedrooms - 1 with AC and 1 with a big fan above the bed - and an amazing pool and lounge area. Be prepared to deal with power outage but thats something that happens everywhere. Host was very happy to point us in the right direction for anything we needed

Amazing view, Masai Mara surrounded by wildlife

DavidRating, 5 stars5 months ago
This is a very special place and the whole idea and concept of social tourism appealed. My wife was able to volunteer at a local medical clinic and I volunteered at the local college which was absolutely inspiring. All of the staff at Oldarpoi were so friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant was great and we enjoyed cocktails around the fire pit every night. Oldarpoi does have a generator for when the electricity drops but it took a while to kick in at times making it difficult to keep things cool in the fridge (staff did offer to store perishable food in their fridge in the main kitchen if needed.) It would be beneficial to take a torch although paraffin lamps were available. We did a walking safari and game drive with local Maasai guide Moses which was absolutely breathtaking and we learned so much. Pool was huge (much larger than photos on website!) Cannot recommend highly enough! A wonderful experience escaping from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Larry's Place - Gulu , Uganda

MarkusRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We spent 1,5 weeks in this beautiful and perfectly equipped house in Gulu with family. It is even nicer than the pictures! Nice compound with a lovely garden, spacious rooms with good beds incl mosquito net, fully equipped kitchen and a cosy living room. We felt home from the first moment - as Esther the housekeeper is the loviest person, always availiable, friendly and helping with anything we needed. Small shop just opposite and 5min drive from town centre. We‘ll come back for sure, thank you again to everyone
