We had such a lovely stay – the place was warm and cosy, perfect for a relaxing family retreat. It’s in a quiet bush setting but still super convenient, just a 10-minute drive to Merewether Beach and Hickson Street Lookout. We loved taking our dogs for walks along Merewether Beach and even found a great dog-friendly café nearby – the perfect spot for an early brekkie and sunrise. The lookout was stunning at sunset, though dogs aren’t allowed there, so we left ours in the car for a short while. The cottage has a big wooden table out on the deck, and we really enjoyed having lunch there, listening to the frogs singing while the dogs explored the garden. Such great value for a pet-friendly getaway. Thanks so much, Stewart!

Great cosy place to stay right on the water! Had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at Christine's place. Christine was a great host and very friendly and welcoming. The space was well set up with everything that we needed. Great value for money and we will definitely stay again!

stayed over Easter, was a great stay, very comfortable and had everything you needed, and extra that we didn't even though of ourselves. close to shops where you can get everything else. walkable to 3 different cellar doors and only 15 minutes drive to Pokolbin. would definitely stay again when I head up to Hunter valley.

Loved the uninhibited view across the water/harbour and the domain in front of the property. Lovely and private. We were a bit early but Sandra was so accommodating and pleasant. The bed was super comfortable. We didn't use any of the food she had there for us but we really did appreciate the beautiful gesture - made us feel very much at home. Thank you Sandra! We loved staying there.

Our family had a fantastic long weekend at Artisans on the hill. Beautiful spot overlooking green countryside views for an ideal break from busy life. Big communal area with sizeable bedrooms and ensuites for everyone was a plus. Easy to get around the manning valley and to Taree for essentials. Peter & Christine were very accommodating and we enjoyed seeing the workshop and gallery.

We had an amazing stay at Becker 94. Our Border Collie had come with us and we felt right at home! It was cozy and Maryla was super helpful when we needed anything! She even went above and beyond to mail our house keys back to us after we left them there. Unfortunately we visited in winter so couldn’t take advantage of the amazing pool so we will definitely be back in summer next time! Cannot recommend this place enough for a relaxing weekend.

Great place to stay overnight after a long drive. Conveniently located just off the highway. Darren’s recommendation to go see the North Haven breakwall was the perfect end to the day.

Very cosy room Comfortable bed and bedding lovely to see the thought put into your hosting duties. lovely to see my name on the entrance as a welcome so many extras were included, like Beach towels. foot bath for post visiting the beach. umbrellas. exta cords to use to charge devices. use of the facilities Netflix account such a comfortable stay. loved it

Great stay at The Snug, it is exactly as described and a great location to base yourself in Newcastle for walking around. Everything was clean, tidy, organised and well presented - even included breakfast items. Jennifer was very proactive with communication and a great host - thanks for creating The Snug for us to escape too.

Richard's place was perfect for our overnight stop over last weekend. Bed was warm and comfy, quiet surroundings, private entry, everything was extremely clean and the additional kettle, microwave and mini fridge was perfect. Richard had left a hand written welcome note and nibbles. An outstanding host and a wonderful place to stay!

I was working over at John Hunter for a few weeks, location was very convenient. Janet & Garry were excellent hosts, making sure I had everything I needed for the stay. Going out of their way to make an easy check in for me on a late evening arrival and provision of laundry services during my extended stay made me feel at home. Studio was spacious (separate living area and bedroom) with dedicated desk/ work space and plenty of storage for clothes etc (including walk-in wardrobe) Surrounding area was great for walking and running. No hesitation about booking to stay there again. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay! The 'Vue' certainly lived up to its name with an amazing view that we thoroughly enjoyed, even though the weather was a bit too chilly for the pool. The property was exactly as described, clean, and well-equipped, proving to be the perfect spot for our family's quick getaway. For an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend the Cowrie Restaurant which is conveniently located just a short walk away. We would absolutely recommend this place to others!

Michael's place was very well organised down to the last details. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. The apartment was pre-heated and equipped with everything for your comfort. The fridge contained food and drinks, so we couldn't ask for a better stay. We highly recommend it, and will definitely come back.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Amanda's so lovely and the place is gorgeous. It's got everything you need for a comfortable stay including local recommendations and even recipe ideas for the kitchen! My pooch and I were made to feel so welcome. The bonus was the short walk to the beach and cafe that opened at 6:30am so I could watch the sun rise every morning over the stunning Flynn's Beach. An absolute sanctuary and one of the quietest places I've ever stayed. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great stop over in a little aussie town. Heritage home, cozy and the electric blanket was a delight as i came from a warm gold coast winter into a south colder winter, so i was fully delighted to know it was warm. And i love the bright bathroom with big bath and sky window. The kitchen has some ready items i see can be handy for traveler’s who are meal unplanned 😆 The bookshelf is packed! I love that too. Bed soooo comfortable…. I worked on my laptop and could stay there all day! Thank u for my stop over was lovely.

Is this the best Airbnb in Australia? Quite possibly - Pam and Kevin are excellent hosts, the apartment is clean, comfortable and private with plenty of space, and perfectly located for the beach, and a short taxi ride from all of town. Plus the posh-restaurant-quality homemade breakfasts are worth staying for all on their own!

Perce is the ultimate gentleman. Great communication, very kindhearted, always responsive and wants nothing more than to share his knowledge and have his guests enjoy their stay. I felt very grateful that I stayed with him. The location is across the road from an incredible beach and bay. Has everything I needed and best of all a friendly, knowledgeable local who is more than happy to help. Will definitely be back. Thanks again Perce!

Had such a great stay at Ocean Gem! The apartment was lovely, clean and had everything you need. Loved the extra touch of a bottle of bubbles and chocolate! Deb was very responsive and such a lovely host. Location was amazing, the view from the balcony 10/10 and you can easily walk everywhere. I would highly recommend and will definately return.
