Holiday rentals with breakfast in Great Lakes Council

Gail was a wonderful host. We had one of our best Airbnb experiences. The property is quiet and beautiful in the countryside, which is exactly what we looked for. The kitchen is large and fully equipped, and Gail also supplies breakfast ingredients.

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s home. The house itself was spotless, super clean. The home had a great view of Avoca Beach and was in a private location. It was a perfect size for a couple and the bathroom was great. Lisa was a great and thoughtful host and thought of all the little extras to make our stay enjoyable. Bread (2 types which I didn’t expect - based on what I liked and what my husband preferred), eggs, a number of options for breakfast toppings, cereal and milk. And coffee of course based on what we preferred. Fruit bowl was also provided and some sweets to welcome us into Lisa’s home. Lisa was very responsive to any questions I had and recommendations for where to eat in the area. The Cowrie is an upmarket fine dining restaurant about 5 mins walk from the home. Plenty of other delicious options for eating out in Terrigal and Avoca Beach. I was also lucky enough to have a couple of lovely massages in house. I would highly recommend Lisa’s home for a getaway.

Excellent. Exceeded our expectations. Great hosts. We were 3 couples sharing for a catch-up weekend. Perfect venue; great value for us.

We had such a wonderful stay at Lynn's place. Everything we needed was there and she even accommodated one of our requests. The breakfast supplied was amazing! The inside space was very cozy and the outside space was peaceful. She was very quick in answering any questions we threw her way. All in all an amazing stay ☺️

A beautiful tranquil place to stay that had everything you needed.. They have thought of everything including breakfast.. there was homemade jam and an apple pie on arrival.. wish I couldve stayed longer but will definately recommend this place and even go back myself.. The hosts were truly welcoming and their home was amazing..

We had a wonderful family vacation at Susan’s place! Her house was incredibly cozy and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Susan was also very accommodating and responsive to all our needs, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended! DJDVE

A very relaxing and quiet stay in a beautiful old country homestead with sensational views of sunsets, rain storms, early morning hot air balloons and the local wildlife, especially from the back verandah. Very convenient to all the main attractions in the Hunter Valley, especially Lovedale. Melissa is a terrific host and the house and location is perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at Marcus’s place in Cessnock! It’s a cosy, comfortable home — perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The location was fantastic, with easy access to all the local facilities, wineries, and everything else the Hunter Valley has to offer. A really nice touch was the complimentary bottle of wine left for us, which made us feel very welcome. The place was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. Thanks again, Marcus — we would definitely love to stay again!

Mary is a wonderful host, helpful and personable. Mary provides breakfast if required and beautiful chocolates on arrival. Her place was spotless, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Sue and Brian are really good hosts! They have a beautiful well-equipped and comfortable studio. The space was spotless and there were extremely helpful instructions everywhere. I enjoyed my stay at their studio. Also, I liked the location - close to the local beach and to the town center. Sue was very responsive and her check-in instructions were super clear and helpful. Her local recommendations were also very handy and useful. I loved her place and highly recommend it to others!

We absolutely loved our stay! The accommodation was spacious, spotlessly clean, and perfectly self-contained with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was heaps of room to spread out, including great clothes storage. Bob and Gail were perfect hosts—friendly, welcoming, and respectful of our privacy. It was fantastic value for what you get, and we’d definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Brooklyn in this beautiful apartment was all that we wished. I was amazed at how incredibly quiet it was despite being only a few minutes to the busy railway. So close to the Riverboat Postman (the reason for our stay whilst route to somewhere else), the Anglers Rest Hotel where we had dinner and the Brooklyn Corner for great coffee and hot chocolate. It was well appointed, with an oh so comfy bed ( esp good with my broken ribs), and all that we needed. Thankyou for a fantastic stay

The accommodation was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully appointed. Check-in was seamless, and the property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood within easy walking distance to town. It is also highly accessible for guests with limited mobility. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay — highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic stay. Great value and we loved the location, perfect spot to get between both fingal and shoal bay. Everything was immaculate, comfortable bedding and spacious bathroom. Would definitely stay again when we are back at the bay.

We had a great stay, it was very peaceful. The farm animals were awesome and Chloe (the cat) & Kramer/PJ (the dogs) were adorable and so friendly got some awesome boots.

What a stay! What a stunning place to be! I felt so at home straight away, the room and bathroom are so superbly decorated and everything you could need was there, baked goodies, fresh fruit, milk, juice and so much more. Beautiful place with so many details to make you feel right at home. Great local breakkie including farm eggs, local bacon, organic granola, biscuits, milk, spreads, coffee tea and a bottle of wine with chocolates. I love when hosts go the extra mile to make your stay special. Beds very comfy, each room had its own private ensuite bathroom. Surroundings are very peaceful. Only con is that the place has no internet reception. Host advised this in advance, but is worth noting. Great stay!

Staying at the Tumbi Tiny was an absolute delight! Nestled in the serene forests surrounding Newcastle, the location offered a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. The cabin itself was impeccably clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort while embracing the natural surroundings. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the rustling of leaves felt truly magical, and the outdoor seating area provided stunning views of the forest. Fiona and Dean were incredibly welcoming, offering detailed recommendations for nearby hiking trails and local attractions. Our children had an amazing time Fiona even let them collect eggs from the chicken coop and provided plenty of games to keep them entertained. We had initially planned to visit the beaches, but staying at the Tumbi Tiny was so wonderful that we didn’t want to go anywhere else! This stay was a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a
