Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Great Barrier Reef

We stayed in the Wallaby suite which was very comfortable, tidy bedroom and bathroom. I booked fairly late in the day and they were able to host us and check in last minute which we really appreciated. Being able to do our laundry was a plus, and there is a pool as well. Only one aspect that seems rather dated is charging extra for wifi. This is almost always complimentary when accommodations do have it set up. I’d still highly recommend staying here while in Atherton.

Leave your shoes at the door and drop your stress there as well. This place will unwind and relax you. Its casual tropical atmosphere, set in stunning rainforest garden is enough for a start. Add in the water sounds of the creek at the bottom of the garden, and you might never want to leave. Peter and Steve are charming hosts, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. It’s a slice of tropical paradise.

Phenomenal! Beautiful location, wonderful hosts, peaceful - an oasis from the go, go, go. Edge Hill is easy to get around and close to inner city Cairns. Julie went above and beyond. She picked me up at airport, drop me off and picked me up from a day trip, and dropped me at airport. Definitely super host and I didn't want to leave. And the pool! A fantastic place and highly recommend!!

lovely space, accommodating in terms of kitchen (microwave, 2x hot plate) and washing machine which is separate from the main house. bathroom and bedroom very clean. breakfast very generous.

This was our second stay with Matt, after my young son insisted we return to the Daintree on our trip to Cairns. Matt's place is as friendly and welcoming as the man himself, and we enjoyed some interesting and lively convos with the other guests to. Highly recommend.

I genuinely cannot fault my stay here at all. It’s very peaceful and private but not isolating at all. Fantastic morning views from the garden. It feels like home and you feel like you’re getting looked after, which is something you don’t often get with Air BnB. Mick and Meg’s place is much more than that for sure. I enjoyed my stay so much I booked on an extra day, I’d stay here again without a shadow of a doubt. Mick’s recommendations and knowledge of the area were spot on and he was extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10 stay, surroundings are beautiful and very close to everything you would need.

Beautiful quiet place...very comfy and up to date....the camp kitchen was great.

Matt’s place is just magical. Wonderful view of Thornton’s peak and rainforest and access to a spectacular little creek. Close to beautiful cow bay beach and a short drive away from cape trip. Matt is very welcoming and knowledgeable - no doubt staying at the Epyphite if visiting Daintree was the best choice!!

It was great staying with Mick and Megan! I felt comfortable, safe, and clean, and nothing could beat the view or convenience to downtown. I would definitely stay again. The hosts went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and were super helpful with insider information!

Mick and Megan’s home was fabulous! We loved the privacy of our room and the common area for breakfast, where we ate at our leisure and could socialize with the other guests. Their home is beautifully decorated and well taken care of, with attention to detail. They were always responsive and helpful with information and activities. With their friendly and relaxed nature, we felt right at home!

What you see in pics is what you’ll enjoy plus a whole lot more. Mark was super friendly and very helpful with a few contacts for business things I had going on. He’s a genuine down to earth guy and even coordinated dinner locally for my late arrival. Really enjoyed my stay.

Overall I was very happy with my stay at Mark's place. Mark welcomed me into his home and straight away made me feel at ease and comfortable, as well as the bonus of his beautiful dog. I had the ensuite room, nice and private looking out to a lovely courtyard and I slept well in the comfortable bed. Good communication, a great location, plenty of local knowledge & he makes a great coffee too! It was exactly what I needed for my time in Townsville

A fabulous position with 180 degree view and set in a tropical forest. Great hosts and beautifully presented rooms. Highly recommended. I’m planning to stay longer next time

Loved this place, had to be our best cabin ever. Trish and Iam were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, fresh fruits, crumpets, yoghurt, cereal, boiled eggs and the best was the coffee. When the tv had a problem they worked tirelessly until it was working for us. We will be back
