AMAZING VILLA AND HOSTS! Family of 6 and had more than enough room for everyone. We really enjoyed the smaller roof top pool due to the views and it was a bit warmer at night. House was clean and furniture was beautiful! It’s not really walking distance to anything, but Akumal is a 5 min drive and has lots to offer. Highly suggest Imelda’s Ecocina for breakfast and Turtle Bay Cafe for tacos. Went twice to each during our stay. We saw about 8-10 what we originally thought were monkey playing in the backyard for 30 mins or so (still not sure what they were but it was a cool experience). There were BIG and small iguanas all over the back which was so cool!!! We loved it!! I can’t say enough about the hosts Marcela… I have never experienced a host as friendly and as responsive as she was. I bugged her every day and she always responded immediately and provided such great recommendations for our family! My mom left her phone in the house and Marcela took it to Fedex same day. Great Stay

Jungle condo, walking distance to beach

The pool is the BEST! We saw monkeys swinging through the trees. Lush growth. Apartment and beds are comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. Rental car is a must as most things (good beach, snorkeling, grocery stores, restaurants) are not within walking distance - but the roads are well kept and easily navigable. Local cenotes (especially Eden) were fantastic. We had a very difficult time finding the apartment. The guards at the entrance to Grand Serenis had no idea what we were talking about when we said “Chan 30x” and when we plugged in the address provided the GPS took us to a dead end. Stacy was always SO responsive when this and other challenges arose.

This place was great as it’s a 2 bedroom, 2 bath place with a separate living space. It had a nice pool area with a bbq and a screened in patio. We saw monkeys sling right past the patio and it’s pretty private. It’s central Location was great and easy to catch the collectivo, although you do have to cross the highway if you want to go to Akumal or Tulum. It’s only 50 pesos and 2 kms to Akumal beach! There’s an OXXO on site and a pharmacy plus some small shops, even a tattoo shop. We liked the quiet and ease of this appt.

Cindy is an absolutely amazing host. We travelled with teens who like to hit the beach. She was very helpful guiding us throughout our 10 day stay on places to see and visit and in particular how to access the beautiful beach in Akumal. She responded to our e-mails right away and let us know that no question was too silly. The condo itself had more than enough space for all of us, we are a family of 5. With the patio (outdoor space) and two bedrooms we never felt like we were on top of each other. We cooked many meals in the kitchen which had all of the things we needed. Having access to a washer and dryer allowed us to pack conservatively, while not having to worry about running out of clothing. My husband and I walked and jogged the complex daily with ease. We would highly recommend her place to anyone looking for a Mexican get away.

MIACasa - Amazing Penthouse with Private Beach!

Condo was nice and ample. Perfect for 4-5 people. The condo/penthouse located on the 3rd floor via elevator even though the apt # starts in 4 (just for reference). Sometimes the water runs either cold or too hot but seems to be a common problem with other buildings. Jacuzzi has hot water which we enjoyed but the jets do not work. We did not have a chance to go to the beach but we did not see it near by, there’s a view of it from the roof. We really loved this place. Marco was very helpful when we had some minor issues... THANK YOU! There s an Oxxo, a pharmacy just a couple blocks away & a restaurant called La Grill w delicious food..(chilaquiles w Sirloin are delicious!!!) they even make their own liquor using fermented sugar cane, bought one coffee flavor but they have other flavors as well. I recommend this penthouse 100% !!
