We had a really enjoyable stay as a family. We were there for the IronMan event and it was a great location to get to everything. Would definitely recommend!

Great place, large house with big separate rooms, beautiful views, lovely walking paths around the golf course and on the hiking trials. Dutton Cove great sea food restaurant nearby. Herold`s bay Beach is small drive away. Overall great value for money.

What a wonderful stay! From the 1st communication the checkout, everything was wonderful. We had a family of 14 from 8 years old to 83. The house swallowed us up. Pictures on here don't quite do it justice. A beautiful house that flows from the kitchen to the lounge to the deck to that amazing view right on the beach. It was perfect for our large family get together. We all had enough space to be together but crucially enough to be apart as well. It was very well equipped to cater for all of us. The setting of the house is just fantastic right on the best beach in SA but still walking distance to all that Wilderness has to offer. Finally I have to mention Elzette. My Mother of 83 had a fall just before our trip so was not very mobile. Elzette sent us all the info we needed before the trip and even helped by picking up mobility equipment from George for our arrival. Above and beyond! Any issues were immediately attended to with kindness and efficiency. Highly recommend! Thanks

We had a fantastic stay at Cecile’s house. It was just like the pictures, beautiful location and Cecile was so helpful. The welcome package she left us was lovely too

Lovely property with everything that you need. I do think that there is some maintenance needed as it was not cheap to stay there.

Amazing views. Extremely well equipped. Even better than my own home. Very modern and everything as described. Great host, Westley. The only negative is that is a quite steep road up from the center to the house so we took the car for going out to dinner although it is a close distance to some good restaurants. The beach was also beautiful and very few people when we visited in end of February. Wilderness is a charming little town.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home. The views were absolutely breathtaking and the atmosphere was so peaceful , it was the perfect getaway for our family. We visited in winter and, although we were initially concerned about the cold, we were pleasantly surprised to find heated blankets on the beds, a gas heater, and a cozy indoor fireplace that made our stay extra comfortable. The host was lovely, welcoming us warmly and always available when we needed assistance. The location was central, easy to find, and close to everything we needed. We were genuinely sad to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

We had a truly wonderful stay — it felt like being immersed in a beautiful forest retreat. The outdoor shower and bath were absolute highlights, giving off a magical, Costa Rica–like vibe. Location, location, location!!!!! We had a holiday we would never forget. So close to the beach and lagoon....I could read a book on the deck and watch my children enjoy the sand and water for hours. Elvis Brew is also walking distance for a late afternoon ice cream and early morning coffee. The house is equipped with everything you may need and more. I am ready to book our next stay with Seeplaas!

Beautifully decorated house with gorgeous views up and down the river, this is very special place to stay in a very beautiful location. We had a wonderful time here with friends and small children, the walk down to the river is a perfect activity for little ones and a great place to sit and watch for birds and wildlife. We felt very at home here from the second we walked in and can’t wait to return to explore more. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly - definitely a place to keep going back to!

We had a wonderful stay at The Beach House in Groot Brakrivier! The home had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Marya was an excellent host—friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. The location was perfect, just a short stroll from the beach, and we were spoiled with stunning views from every room. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind by the sea in a beautiful setting.

Lovely holiday stay! The location is superb, house is well equipped and you will be sipping your morning coffee, staring at the waves crashing against the rocks. About 50m, on the oppsite side of road is the Tidal pool - the best cooloff after a run, amazing!

The pictures dont do the house justice, because you just cant feel the homely atmosphere you get when you walk in and stay there. We had the most amazing time at the house, and everything we needed was available from food, to entertainment, to a camp cot! An absolute gem and we will be back next year

Our stay at Wayne’s home was wonderful! The breathtaking views of the bay were the highlight of our trip—perfect for enjoying sundowners around the large table. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, easily accommodating our group of 7 adults. The location is fantastic—set in a peaceful Eco Estate, it’s private, serene, and surrounded by wildlife. The short, scenic walk to the beach was a treat. The large indoor braai room with its cozy couches and massive fireplace made for some memorable evenings. Wayne is an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He provided clear check-in instructions, responded promptly to any questions, and his warmth is evident throughout the house. The off-grid setup worked seamlessly, with reliable wifi as a bonus. We had an amazing stay. Thank you, Wayne, for sharing your wonderful space with us!

Ilse's place is breathtaking in terms of peace, brilliant view and outstanding stargazing at night. It's like your own compact rustic cabin on a hill, only with all the modern design and everything you'll need for self catering. if you're looking for a peaceful getaway it's absolutely perfect, but if you want thw fun and sun and beach, that's super close by too. We had an incredible time. I'm sure you will too!

I’m looking at photos from our family vacation in Gourits and the property we stayed at… Words come to mind, words like perfect, peaceful, beautiful, home… This house was so much more than the description and photos. The location is picture perfect with the 180-view of the beautiful ocean and coastline. One morning, watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, we saw a Momma whale and her baby playing and jumping. It was like watching National Geographic! Then in the evenings we sat on the back porch, protected from the seabreeze with a sundowner. The house was spacious for the 10 of us, with linen and towels, comfortable beds and enough bathrooms. Everything in the house was tasteful, clean, neat and the kitchen was fully stocked. It felt like home and I can stay there forever! This house tells a story and with the beautiful memories our family made there, it is now part of our story too!
