Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Goochland County

What a beautiful oasis in Kents Store. Located approximately 5 miles from I 64 right between Short Pump and Charlottesville, Wendy has created a gorgeous and sweet retreat. Lots of thoughtful details, gorgeous finishes and comfy vibes. An adorable kitchen with everything you need. She provided tea, coffee, spices, water, snacks and even a s’more kit for outdoor fire pit area. Lots of towels, wash clothes, makeup remover packets…she’s thought of everything. One of my favorite features was the bird feeders she has located right outside the big picture window. I was treated to a constant show of vibrantly colored yellow finches, cardinals, and other lovely birds. The cottage is lovely and reasonably priced. I would recommend her delightful place to anyone.

Safe quiet neighborhood, great host, home is close to gym and grocery store. Close to VCU-hospital- 15minute drive.

Gus and Susie are no longer "just" mine and my daughter's AirBnB hosts...they are lifelong friends. They are super fun, warm and welcoming - Susie and I bonded even before we ever actually met in person!!! Their home is incredibly comfortable and absolutely beautiful. My daughter and I both experienced the best sleep we've had in years!! I could NOT believe how deeply and how long I could sleep here. The beds were 💎💎💎💎 (4-Diamond level) comfortable and the peaceful surroundings somehow just came together to enable incredible sleep. I cannot recommend them and their place enough!!!

We booked this Airbnb for a hub whilst 6 of us stayed in Richmond for a wedding. The house is nice and secluded, away from any main roads and had a lovely peaceful atmosphere. Everything was clean, tidy and neat, and all the amenities were great! Fantastic fire pit to relax around, loads of space to park cars and a couple of very friendly cats as well! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit Richmond!

Love love LOOOVEEED our stay here! It was pure relaxation even with our 9 month old in tow! She surprised us with celebration cheesecake a day decorations and the place felt like home away from home! She's a lovely lady all around that reminds me of my grandma. She was very responsive during our stay and provided everything we needed! The jacuzzi was HEAVENLY after a day of driving. We were even provided breakfast and some treats!! Truly one of a kind stay. This will forever be our place to stay if we're ever in the area again. (probably another weekend) Thank you Karen for making our stay unforgettable!

This is a lovely home surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was wonderful to find a place that would accommodate our dog buddies. They had a great time and so did we! This home has everything you need to be comfortable. Ellen was great and very helpful. We were fortunate to find a comfy place that would accommodate all of us as we gathered for a family wedding. We would definitely return just for fun!

I was only there for a couple of days and they made me feel like home. the place is beautiful and cozy. Cynthia and her husband were very friendly and kind people. Definitely will stay again if I'm in the area.

We stayed for a volleyball tournament. We were able to get there by walking in under 10 minutes. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. The canal walk is close and there is a playground across the street.

A beautiful home with a lively yard to enjoy. We felt comfortable from the minute we walked in. Lovely neighborhood of parks and beautiful older homes. Not a central location but an easy drive to museums and shopping districts.

I highly recommend Mary as a host and her beautiful cottage. I will definitely stay here again if I travel this way. She is a wonderful person and her place is immaculately clean, well equipped and peaceful.

Melissa's space was exactly as advertised, and she was a very friendly host - even taking time out of her day to introduce our girls to some ducks and chickens. We had a very nice stay.

We were in town for a family wedding and wanted a peaceful place to stay where our dogs could get some exercise. Luke was extremely accommodating and friendly. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed the trails with our dogs. The cabin had everything we needed but kept the rustic charm. I enjoyed watching the horses in the pasture from the back screened in porch. We will definitely return when visiting family again.

Much needed peaceful, private getaway!! Fun unique setting. Nice newly updated bathroom and kitchen were a great addition to the otherwise rustic ambience.

Nice Cabin. Super close to a food lion which was great for essentials. Host was very helpful with her direct instructions on how and where to enter the cabin and how to get there via alternative directions needed instead of the maps route. The game room downstairs was cool with the pool table as well.

Our stay at The Cozy Bear Cabin was so enjoyable and relaxing! Jessica was super friendly and responsive right from the start. The cabin was very cozy and comfy. It was quite charming, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the scenery and the peacefulness of the lake and its surroundings. The weather was so nice that we had our meals at the table on the deck. Our family went canoeing for the first time and had a blast! It was really nice that there was a multitude of sizes of life jackets in the boathouse and a refrigerator in the Tiki bar/kitchenette. We loved sitting in the Adirondack Rockers while watching our kids use the paddle boards. A lot of fun memories were made and will be cherished forever. Thank you Jessica, for making our time at your lovely home such a memorable one!

We were in town for a local triathlon and stayed at Ali's house for the weekend -- it was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. The fire-pit outside was perfect for a relaxing evening. We also loved the personal touches like local recommendations and a card wishing us luck in the race and a wonderful weekend! We reached out several times through the weekend with questions and updates and Ali was extremely responsive. While cars do require parking passes, the instructions were very clear and the staff members at the gate were super welcoming and helpful in getting passes for everyone. Overall, we had a great time!

This was our FOURTH year at Lighthouse Cove, and it was better than ever! This feels like home at the lake; warm and inviting with all needs covered, but clear of clutter. The forecast looked wet during our whole stay, but that quickly changed and we were out in the lake daily! The floating lily pad this year was a total game changer!! If you have kids def take advantage of it and the beach area/playground 2 doors over. The beds are extremely comfortable, and bathrooms well equipped with tons of towels and complimentary shampoo/wash. The second fridge is always utilized and the huge island and full length pantry are perfect for ALL the snacks! Toula is so sweet and responsive to any and all questions. She’s a fantastic host! Can’t wait for year #5!
