This simple, family-friendly 4-room apartment is right next to the middle station of the cable car. The apartment is a 2-minute walk from the public parking lot, which is subject to a charge. The village of Betten is located on the southern slope of the Aletsch area on a sun terrace around 1200 meters above sea level. The village of Bettmeralp and the ski slopes of the Aletscharena can be reached in 5 minutes. Betten is also an ideal starting point for hikes and day trips in Upper Valais.

Chalet Belle Hélène for a perfect week in the Alps

Chalet Belle Hélène is located at the bottom of the Aletch glacier (Aletsch Arena). Close to the gondola, so you can enjoy skiing with the whole family in the winter and fantastic hikes (also in the high mountains) in the summer. The chalet is located on the main road in the Rhone Valley, and is therefore easily accessible by car. From the train station it is about a 10-minute walk. In the area you can also go mountain biking, ride passes (Furka, Nufenen, Grimsel, Gotthard). Plenty to do.

Quiet location! Great view! Enjoy the wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. The apartment is on the upper floor of our 3-family house. We live right downstairs. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the village, which you can reach in a 15-minute walk. The bus stop is about 100m away. The access is steep and can only be accessed with a 4x4 plus snow chains when there is snow. However, in winter there will be a parking space available at the bottom of the Terrassenweg.

The 2nd floor flat is in Haus Bergfreunde next to the gondola Moosfluh that takes you to the best viewpoint of the Aletsch Glacier. In winter, ski slopes run in front of our door and it is the ideal starting point to the ski slopes of the Aletsch area. It is easily reachable from the Riederalp Mitte cable car and Coop Supermarket, both around a 9-minute walk and just 4 minutes from the ski school meeting point, and the trainer lift.
