Charming bdrm in 110+yr home w/wood fireplace

JonathanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Phil is one of a kind. I booked with him because his home is in the same neighborhood as the family I was visiting. I was expecting just a place to stay, but Phil's place is an experience. What a kind, gentle soul. He cooks a great breakfast, but it's the conversation that comes with it that makes a stay with Phil worth it.

Huge Garden level Georgetown Apt w/ full kitchen

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I planned a calm bachelorette party in Georgetown and stayed with Emily. Everything was wonderful. The fully working kitchen was beautiful and clean. The bed and pull out couch were both super comfy. The location is amazing. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

Georgetown Oasis

PamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My son and I visited my daughter who goes to school in DC. We all stayed in the place. I agreed with all the other feedback about Angela being very helpful and responsive. The place is immaculately clean and is located in a very nice quiet neighborhood. It is a 5 min walk to the nearest Capital Bike Share docking station, 5 min walk to two bus stations that took us directly to the nearest Metro station and 10 min walk to Safeway and Trader Joe's. The only two drawbacks are that it is a basement unit with a very tiny window so it is dark mostly and there isn't a full-size stove and oven. To solve the latter problem, Angela has cleverly provided an air fryer and portable stove which worked well in cooking simple meals. I enjoyed my stay and will book again next time I am in town.

Cozy comfort and convenience in DC

PhilRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Jane’s place was super comfortable. I stayed there after seeing a show at Wolf Trap and so didn’t even get to her place until quite late. She was very flexible and greeted me at close to midnight. I had had a really tough day (car accident, sick dog), and she kindly indulged me and listened empathetically even at that late hour. She was friendly and kind throughout my stay, while leaving me to my own. The place was cozy, the bed was comfortable. It was a regular house, as in, a place where someone actually lives—not like a showroom or something. I didn’t hang out in the neighborhood, but the immediate surroundings were quiet, lots of kids and dogs. I did think the price was a little high after taxes and fees, but honestly, it was far less given its central location, than anything else I could find at the last minute and in the end, it was worth it for me. I would recommend and consider staying again if I were in DC.
