Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Glarus

We loved our stay at Remo’s lodge! The views were absolutely beautiful and created the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The firepit and jacuzzi area were definite highlights — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The lodge was quiet, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. Remo was a great host — friendly, helpful, and made sure everything went smoothly. We’d happily come back again!

Pleasant stay in this charming apartment decorated with Esther's beautiful illustrations. Esther had provided us with the GlarnerlandPass, which allowed us to travel free of charge throughout the valley by public transport. However, this requires a little organisation as there is only one train per hour. Beautiful playgrounds for children, such as the one right next to the apartment and a great time spent at the Kinderbaustelle in Luchsingen.

Spectacular location and a house that matches.. we had a lovely time, very well designed and built house, takes fully advantage of the beautiful scenery out side, highly recommended.. PS.. this applies for only during May-June ‘25 as the road in front of the house is getting repaired, it is important to note that there is only walking access to the house. This means that guests will need to carry their luggage for certain sections of the route from the parking lot.. just to provide clarity there is no option to drag your wheeled luggage to the house, it will need to be carried. Just wanted to provide this clarity as I thought this was assumed by us.. although the host had communicated to use about the access but this aspect was not clarified.

Just right to unplug. This gently renovated wooden house with modern wet rooms (with extra floor heating) as well as practical kitchen is hard to beat in terms of coziness. The low ceilings, the small windows, wood where you look (ceiling, walls, floors) and also the wood heating: you feel like you're staying in a museum (Ballenberg feeling). - We felt very comfortable and were able to enjoy the four days despite bad weather. Lockbox was untraceable, code was not communicated, but that was also good, because we have the introduction to the handling of the wood heating by the nice neighbor (Fam. Schuler). Fire in a wooden house? - With carbon monoxide meters and smoke detector no matter at all. A Bijou in the middle of a picturesque old village part where "you" still know each other and greet everyone on the street.

We had a great stay at Julia‘s place. The house is located very private with a perfect view over the lake!

It was fantastically beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The cottage was decorated and furnished with love down to the smallest detail. It has a great view and invites you to linger. The uncomplicated contact with Silvia was also very pleasant. Hopefully we can be guests again :)

Great house for a big group, lots of space and well-arranged. We were missing a few basic things in the kitchen, like a cutting board and a freezer. Beautiful location in the stunning Glarus Alps. Easy drives to Elm and Braunwald. We enjoyed our stay!

One of the best Airbnbs have ever stayed at. My wife and kids and I loved the house and the absolutely beautiful area. Especially the kids just fell in love with the area and Switzerland. Will definitely come back here again in the near future

It is a mountain apartment so don't expect luxury, but it has everything you need for a group of friends to stay overnight.

This was the best equipped kitchen and house I’ve stayed at, had everything you could want and more. The host went above and beyond to make our stay special, she even gave us heads up about traffic. The host also gave us great information about the area. The house and neighborhood are very quiet with great views.

Accurate to the description and photos. Dalibor also gave us a pass to take the Braunwald funicular for free. Great! I recommend it!

This is quite little hideout in a small village facing beautiful mountains, country side. Beautiful garden where you can chill, have a coffee, wine, breafast and so on. Small stream flows by. Place is very cute inside. You have everything you want. Perfect for 4 persons. Small hideout for kids with bed, one can meditate there also. Very proactive communication, making sure all is well. Leaving some chocolates, berries, coffee to make sure you have good start was really nice. Thankyou for everything. We will again come back here.

Really nice appartment perfectly located in Walenstadt. It's a two-bedroom apartment with a separate kitchen and both roomy bathroom and living/diningroom. Highlight is the nice view from the living room as well as the outside area. Fully and well equipped: comfortable beds, the kitchen incl. dish-washing and coffee machines, living room featuring TV incl. gaming console, grill in the exterior area. Some details went beyond expectations: bathroom with pleasant toileteries, complete equipment to grill outside. Location is really convenient. Aprox 10 min walk from both the centre of Walenstadt, as well as from the lake and the big playground for the kids. The area is residential area, at the very end of street hence quite and reassuring for the kids playing outside. Michaela was a wonderful host, preparing the appartment up to details, and also answering questions and helping us to make the stay even more convenient. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Was at the sporting event in Rapperswil. The accommodation is close to the train station, where you can go in all directions. Optimal. The accommodation is very quiet. Everything was fine. Thank you, Jana and many nice guests.

We had been looking for a modern apartment for our holiday on Lake Lucerne for a long time and then came across Roshan's great Scandinavian furnished, bright and friendly apartment. We felt very comfortable from the beginning, everything you need is there - compact, high-quality and cozy. Mattress is excellent, we slept super well. The roof terrace is beautifully situated towards the forest hill and you can hear a lot of nature. That's really great. The roof at the back generally protects against the noise of the road and railway tracks by the lake. The communication was exemplary and super friendly! You can quickly walk to the lake, boat, train and in the village with bakery, butcher and Lidl. Logistically top location! We highly recommend the apartment and will gladly come back ourselves.

We had an all-around pleasant stay! Communication with the host was excellent – fast, friendly and solution-oriented. We would particularly like to emphasise how accommodating he was: a suitable solution was immediately found for every small concern. The location of the apartment is also ideal. It is very well connected to public transport, so you can easily arrive without a car and explore the area. Overall, absolutely recommended!

Beautiful apartment located right on the water. This was an amazing experience for my family. Had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy! We had an amazing time! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Amazing views and excellent location.
