Recently spent a few nights at Gichard’s place and couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing retreat. The apartment itself is spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed—with a cozy living area, a fully stocked kitchenette, and plush bedding that made winding down a breeze. The neighborhood is quiet and surrounded by lush greenery, so if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle, this is your spot. One thing to note: the subway isn’t within immediate walking distance. The nearest station is about a 30-minute stroll, so if public transit is your primary mode, plan on taking a local bus (which runs frequently) or a quick rideshare to bridge the gap. All in all, Gichard was a responsive, friendly host, and I’d happily stay here again anytime I need a peaceful home base in Brooklyn. Highly recommended for travelers who value tranquility.

Quiet, quaint room in Victorian Town House

My week at Sandra’s place was perfect! I didn’t know what to expect in the neighbourhood but I loved the surroundings and the vibes of the Flatbush area. Sandra and her family are very polite and welcoming, people with great energy. I had my private place to work remotely, which was quiet and peaceful. I was able to cook my meals and use the kitchen, which was ideal to keep myself on my diet. There’s a gym nearby that accepts temporary plans with no contracts (and the owner is super friendly as well). There’s also a big park a few blocks away. There are other guest rooms in the floor but honestly I did not see much of the other guest and had no problems sharing the same bathroom. The laundry place is right by the corner of the street and I was able to do my laundry easily. I will always have good memories of my stay in Brooklyn and I expect to come back to Sandra’s place in the future some day. I can only appreciate her hospitality and the kindness of the people from the region.

We had a wonderful stay at Tami’s place. The location is excellent – just a 5-minute walk to the subway, which made it easy to explore the city. It’s also close to a lovely park, which was great for a quick walk or some time outdoors. The private room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and very comfortable – just as described. While getting to some parts of Manhattan can take around 45 minutes by subway, it was never an issue for us. Tami was a great host – communication was smooth, and we really appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the apartment on the day we arrived. All in all, a perfect stay. We'd definitely come back!

My daughter and I came to Brooklyn not knowing anything about the area. Our stay was met with warm welcome and made us feel like we were right at home. The neighborhood is safe for walking even at night. Great location close to train and neighborhood stores. Toby and partners were amazing and I will be booking again for our next trip to the city!

We felt right at home staying at Naomi's place! Street parking was easy to find; The space is the perfect size, very clean and has everything you need. Everything was exactly as described and better. Naomi provided us with refreshments in the fridge as well as her website which had lots of recommendations on it. We traveled here for the first time for a concert down the street at the Rockaway Hotel. The beaches out here are awesome. We would definitely come back and stay at Naomi's again!
