Holiday houses in Gerakari

The house is lovely and has everything you need: Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. And the pool is really a plus! The village of Gerakari has a relatively cooler climate and even in August the nights were nice and cool. In a few minutes you can walk to a local super market and 2 tavernas . We especially liked To Kentros, which is an authentic Greek gyros place/taverna.

I can’t say enough good things about Amalen. I found it on Air B & B and so I expected almost no interaction. Our stay was 5 star in every way. Jacob and the rest of the staff cared for us. They were so helpful. The breakfast was amazing and each day they knew we were headed out, they packed us a to go box…even on our day of departure. We had the best time and if ever in Crete would only stay with them again.

Wonderfully well equipped Villa. Beautiful location surrounded by mountains, amazing views to wake up to every morning. Perfect for large groups of people with plenty of comfortable living space. Great location for peaceful relaxation, or to be used as a central location to explore Crete from. A hire car is a necessity, be prepared for narrow village roads and winding mountain passes. Meronas has a few small cafés/ restaurants with good food, all locals were very friendly! Check in is completely painless, the hosts were incredibly useful with very fast response time to any issues. Strongly recommend!

Absolutely stunning Airbnb - the views are as pictured. Loved waking up to the sea. The rooms were cleaned and beautifully maintained by the cleaning lady. We were just two in this two bedroom so we had space to spread out but it could easily accommodate four. Loved having breakfast on the balcony with the view of the village and the ocean.

Natassa’s home is nestled in the mountains and her room has a lovely balcony with an amazing view across the valley. Natassa greeted us in town and walked us to her place. She was hospitable and friendly and we are so glad to have met her. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. Natassa has a beautiful dog Chico who we fell in love with. Highly recommend a stay at Natassa’s if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in the mountains with easy quick access to beaches in the south, Rhethymno in the north and other beautiful mountain towns nearby.

Ein absoluter Traum – pure Entspannung in luxuriösem Ambiente! Unser Aufenthalt in der Mondreux Villa & Spa war einfach unvergesslich. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und haben uns vom ersten Moment an rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Villa ist nicht nur stilvoll und modern eingerichtet, sondern auch bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht – von hochwertigen Möbeln bis hin zu liebevollen Dekorationen. Das absolute Highlight war der private Spa-Bereich mit Whirlpool und Sauna – perfekt, um nach einem Tag am Strand oder einer Wanderung durch die wunderschöne Landschaft Kretas zu entspannen.
