Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Gatineau

Very nice cottage, not waterfront but only a few steps away. Limited view, but some may prefer being a bit more secluded. Otherwise very clean and well renovated.

What a gem! Don’t hesitate to book Magdalena’s little slice of heaven in the trees. The moment we opened the front door we felt right at home! Everything is absolutely perfect. The house is larger than it looks from the outside, with tons of space to share time or have some privacy. I brought my 16 year old for a few days to hike and relax and she LOVED having her own “wing” with the screened in porch outside her bedroom. Magdalena was so responsive and helpful, but there was absolutely nothing we needed. Check in was a breeze, the house was easy to navigate, and we loved every minute! The beds were SUPER cozy, and I was greeted by deer in the window in the morning sunrise. If you love to cook, the kitchen is fabulous with a great oven and well-equipped. We always go to Les Fougeres for a meal when we’re in town, and it’s just 5 minutes down the road. Make a reservation and check it out for a beautiful dinner! Absolutely stunning setting and a very clean and well appointed rental. Charming vibe and super cozy set up. Amazing master suite and also very comfortable secondary suite. My family all felt “right at home” and we would definitely consider returning on our next visit to the Ottawa area. Jumped in the Ottawa River on May 18th and can attest to the cleanliness of the water and the nice sandy beach! Exceptional place to relax, refresh and recharge! Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

This was by far one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had! The loft we rented was absolutely beautiful—stylish, spotless, and even more stunning in person than in the already-gorgeous photos. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The owners were simply amazing (merci Pierre & his wife) —so welcoming, kind, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Super accommodating and easy to communicate with, which made the whole experience even better. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived, and we’re already planning our return. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable getaway. The place was great. Spacious and comfortable. Fairly quiet. We were there during a snowstorm and the host helped with clearing snow and getting us out of a ditch. Highly recommend.

Beautiful lakeside location. Cozy, well-equipped cottage. We spent a very relaxing long weekend and came back to the city feeling very fortunate to have found Krystal's place, and very refreshed as well. We had one minor issue with a missing piece for a paddle board and Krystal sorted it out immediately with the part in question arriving on the following day. Lac Bataille is a spectacularly beautiful lake. Our location mid-lake meant that we could explore the whole lake easily, by kayak and paddle board, and by walking on the quiet roads. We hope to return soon.

This was our second stay at Kim and Scott's and we loved it again. Very private and peaceful cottage, right on the water. We brought out paddleboards and paddled the entire lake. Super cute place for two people.

We stayed at La Belle Denis cabin and it was literally as presented in the picture. The cabin is warm in winter with hot water ! Perfect for a weekend gateway. We love the quietness in winter and the trail on the property. We hope to comeback in Summer to check out the lake! Shu

We had a great weekend at the cottage! It was clean and had everything we needed. Eric was clear with instructions and easy to get in touch with. Just know that you’ll have no service all weekend but there is fast and reliable wifi.

We had an amazing stay and Francis's place. The cottage is well maintained with lots of seating and is well stocked with everything you'll need for your stay. The river is just in the back accessible from the back porch, has bbq and outdoor dining area. The place is at the end of the dirt road, so very private! Will be back!

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.
