Everything was perfect even the small details. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. The inside and outside of the property were really well maintained and the swimming pool was an added bonus in a hot sun weather’sday! Sergio's apartment is impeccable, just as it appears in the photos, the Turkish bath is amazing, the barbecue space too, everything in general, 8 minutes from the center, super well located and easy to get to, Sergio is very friendly, attentive and answers very quickly, my partner and I had a great time, I'm sure we'll be back.

We loved the house. It exceeded expectations in almost every aspect. Very well-equipped house, with a rustic style and very cozy. The view is incredible and conveys an extraordinary peace. We took the opportunity to do some activities on the river, which I also recommend.

This is our best stop on a trip to Portugal. The house has everything you need, it's just nice to be inside. We were still in the moment when the electricity and communication went missing in Portugal - so the hostess and her family showed unreal care - and they brought candles, and the grill was lit and offered food - well, we never had such a cool "apocalypse"! I definitely recommend!

Nice little cottage with air conditioning. Wonderful, large garden with citrus trees and a beautiful well-maintained pool, which we could use alone. Travel time to Porto city centre approx. 30 min., good supermarket (Continente) 15 min. Beach by the river (recommended!) 5 min. by car, also within walking distance. Well-equipped kitchen. View of the river from some corners of the garden. Check-in independently, communication very nice.

I felt at my own home. The hosts were super friendly and reachable, really present when needed and helpful. The house is beautiful and clean, ample, functional, and peaceful at night. I hadn’t been before in so complete place at airbnb specially due to the wonderful matching hosts and house.

Paulo met us at the house and gave us a warm welcome. He showed us around and offered great recommendations for the area. The place was clean, with a fully stocked kitchen, and centrally located—close to everything you’d want to visit. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was perfect, the area was quiet, 2 minutes from the beach, there were good restaurants nearby and the apartment matched the description provided. We would recommend it!

Paula's accommodation is perfectly located facing the sea and about 20 minutes from Porto by train (station 100m away) or by car. We enjoyed being lulled by the sound of the waves. Bright accommodation, perfectly arranged and equipped. Small treats awaited us on arrival :) Thank you again and I look forward to seeing you again!

Andre met us at the apartment which turned out to be helpful as finding it without him might have been a challenge. There's a view of the square from the downstairs bedroom and living room and on the opposite side there's a view overlooking the town that get a beautiful sunset. I'm not sure if it was because of student celebrations that weekend but the square was quite loud overnight but I don't imagine there were many quiet areas. The location was great, an easy if strenuous walk to the river and the university. Highly recommend.

This place is incredible. A renovated house from the medieval period, it’s even more impressive than the pictures. The setting is beautiful, with a view of the valley right out the bedroom window. The place itself is spotless and the automated check-in was a breeze. The host even had a bottle of wine waiting for us, and it’s well stocked with coffee. Like most homes in the region, be prepared to drive for groceries and restaurants - and take note that the drive to the house is steep downhill and at times narrow - but take it slow and you’ll be fine. The location of this place is perfect if you want to visit both Porto and the Douro valley. 10/10 would recommend!

It is a lovely converted former fishermen's house where a lot of attention has been placed on details for it to be both authentic and homey. House is located on main tourist street, but due to back garden you do not feel that (and street is pedestrian). It has all modern-day amenities (wash machine, dishwasher) you need for short stay. Me, my 85-yr old mum and two teenage boys were happy and would come back anytime when in Costa Nova.

Alessandro and his partner were very friendly! He helped us with getting started on the surf boards and was always happy to help. The house is located right next to the beach and the ocean and is ideal to start surfing. We were able to use the bbq facilities loads and the veranda is very nice in case the weather is bad!

Alcibiades took care of us very well and was always attentive to our needs even before asking for them. In our stay we passed the 28/4 blackout and Alcibiades arrived with water, light bulbs, camping gas, carbon and all the essentials to make sure we were well and comfortable during that time. We felt very comfortable and the location is awesome. Beach, restaurants, walks and everything is very close by.

Me and my family had a lovely stay in this beautiful property, it was very quiet and the views were lovely. The property had lots of space and we loved the pool and outdoor kitchen area. I would definitely recommended

Carla was very kind. We asked if he could supply us three more fluffy pillows and he did it the same day, without bothering us for anything and without putting any objection. We could not enjoy the pool because of the weather but the place is idyllic for the summer season. Thank you very much Carla

Spectacular accommodation for its brightness, warmth, the mattress and sofa are not uniform in firmness. Everything else , perfect.

Thank you from all of us to Michel and Jacqueline for being such wonderful hosts. We organised a stay at their Quinta for my mum's 70th birthday and it did not disappoint. The home itself was clean, spacious and cool with plenty of room for us all. The outside space was simply stunning - far-ranging views across the valley, lots of walks through pretty, fruiting archways and up to the forest. A natural pool near the top of the hill so you can swim whilst taking in the views. We were able to pick herbs from their garden for cooking and we made fresh lemonade and orange juice from their fruit trees. I can't recommend this place enough. Jacqueline also helped arrange a private boat tour down the Douro river where we visited the Lovers Island and swam in a waterfall. And when we arrived back at the riverbank a fabulous picnic buffet with a cake was waiting for us which brought my mum to tears (in a good way!). All run by locals and for a very good price. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
