Beachfront holiday rental in Gafanha da Encarnação

A very well-equipped house in a lovely seaside village, larger than the photos make it seem. Antonio greeted us like we were old friends and was really helpful with a couple of logistical issues caused by our late arrival. Miramar is a smashing little spot with a couple of nice eateries. 20 minutes on the train from central Porto and half an hour walk down the beach to the more bustling village of Aguda.

The house is small, but it is very well used and everything was very clean. Same or better than the pictures. It's just a few steps from the beach, which is ideal. The beds are very comfortable and allow a good rest. The kitchen, although compact, is fully equipped, and also has many utensils. It also has several tools such as an iron, dryer, fan... Whatever you are looking for and need, you will find it. The decor gives it a unique and cozy touch. Rui was always attentive and very kind. Highly recommended!

Our stay in Joāo's apartment was wonderful. The apartment is very clean and nicely furnished and there is nothing missing. There is a supermarket just around the corner and the beach is only a stone's throw away. The town and the surrounding villages offer a lot to discover and explore. Check in and check out were very straightforward, even without personal contact. We can definitely recommend this accommodation and would love to come back!

Raquel was a wonderful host! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. She was really helpful and provided great local recommendations. Communication was clear and friendly throughout. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Great stay in this beautiful accommodation. There were 14 of us and we greatly enjoyed the house. Having 4 toilets and many bedrooms is perfect. Porto is easily accessible by train, it's very easy. The beach is 2 steps away, it's super convenient, the kids loved it. The upstairs room is superb. The hosts are very responsive and always available to give us advice. It's wonderful. Thank you.

The house is located by the sea (the beach is less than a 5-minute walk away) and overlooks a garden. We had a lovely stay there and were able to easily visit the surroundings (Gaia, Aveiro, Porto). Special mention for Hugo who is very available and provides good advice.

A magnificent apartment in the modern house, with super nice decor. Very stylishly decorated with Portuguese charm! Everything top and clean! Best location, 1 minute to beach, kiosk, bakery and several restaurants with cheap but great food, where even police officers go out for dinner during their break! To the train station 10 minutes, to Porto about 35 minutes. To Lidl also only about 10 minutes. "Quiet" location but in the middle of the locals, the fishermen provide the rest of the authentic flair! We will be back!

The place has beautiful personalized decoration, very comfortable, spectacular dinner table chairs :) The only thing, for people who have “problems climbing stairs”, you a have everything you need (bedroom, complete wc, kitchen, etc.) downstairs, but the best terrace with a sea spectacular sea view, along with 2 other bedrooms, is on the second floor.. The 5 star host Tiago, was always available. Surely recommend!

Beautiful home in a really cool location with a sweeping view of the bay. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Jamie was there to personally greet us on arrival and made sure all went well. Highly recommended!

A beautiful apartment with absolutely everything you could need for a family holiday! Natacha’s place is spotlessly clean, lots of space and so many little extras it really felt like a home from home. The views of the sea and the sunset from the balcony were amazing! The pool was huge and clean and the surrounding area peaceful but close enough to Porto and Gaia by bike or a quick Uber ride. There is a boardwalk and cycle path just across the road that goes all the way down the beach to Porto. There is a supermarket nearby and some lovely beach bars and restaurants along the front. Natacha was a perfect host - friendly and very responsive and helpful with lots of ideas and suggestions for our stay. Our teenage girls loved the surf lessons that Natacha suggested and we had lots to do and lots of sights to see. Thank you Natacha for the perfect stay. We recommend 100% and would definitely stay again!

truly fantastic experience staying in Manuel's studio. the studio has all it needs, amazing light, massive rooftop terrace with a sea view and some handy chairs and lounge chairs. location is great, with fun beach bars within walking distance, the lagune for bird watching , some handy shops and nice restaurants. Manuel was a great host, quick communication, very clear. thanks Manuel!

We highly recommend it! Nelson is very responsive and friendly. Perfect location 2 min walk to the beach (sea view). The apartment is even bigger than the pictures! Very well equipped and clean. The pool is great too. Only downside: maybe the lack of deckchair near the pool for sunbathing :) Thank you for the quality of the accommodation!

Took Christine's property as our base from which to attend a wedding and explore near by Aveiro and further. Five kids and adults where in our party who absolutely loved the large heated pool. Highly recommend and I would happily return. Love from Greg and the family. Obrigado!

we had a fantastic stay the apartment was very tidy plenty of space areas available outside to sun bathe or shade in and a great location Hugo communication was fab we would definatley reccomend and would stay again !

Even though it is listed as being in Figueira da Foz, it is actually in the neighbourhood of Buarcos. Much better. More authentic. You are steps away from the beach. Daniel and Elisabete are a nice, hardworking couple. Very friendly. The place is perfect, quiet and in the old part of town. You are within the old remparts. Nice walks and beach strolls all around. Lidl supermarket 5 minutes away. The terrace is beautiful. Big plus. I definitely recommend this place.

Excellent! A very good place to spend a vacation. The house is beautiful, with everything we needed to spend a few weeks on vacation. The view we have of the ocean is wonderful. Mr. António is very attentive. I highly recommend it.

Very nicely furnished. Beautiful flower garden in patio area. Kitchen contained all necessary items.

Rui was very responsive and helpful from the moment we checked in. He even got us a wonderful dinner reservation in Porto. The place was perfect for our family and the location was just what we wanted: tastefully decorated, close to the beach and close to Porto. Would highly recommend staying at Rui’s spot!

Figueira da Foz is a very dynamic city where life is good. The large beach is perfectly equipped for physical, recreational and sporting activities. Numerous restaurants and bars, a casino and much more.

The apartment has a spectacular location, right in front of the sea and with the lighthouse right next door. At night, the light of the lighthouse creates a pleasant and even mysterious environment:) The apartment was very clean and with the amenities needed for a pleasant and relaxing days by the sea! We were very well received by Mr. Michael who showed us the apartment and demonstrated availability if necessary.

Last-minute accommodation booked for 2 nights, and it was enough to see that it was very well maintained. There was nothing missing, and beyond that, it felt very good. Thanks to the host for this as well as for their responsiveness in messages! I highly recommend, accessible price and more than pleasant environment since right next to the sea.
