The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

A screened porch features comfortable rocking chairs, offering views of rolling mountains in the distance. A circular fire pit area, with Adirondack chairs, is surrounded by gravel and landscaping. Natural light floods the space, enhanced by a wooden ceiling and exposed beams.
