Charming historic farmhouse

Welcome to Fermette du Château, our enchanting 16th century farmhouse nestled in the scenic hills of Naves in the Auvergne countryside. The old village school

The old school/schoolmaster's house is on the edge of a tiny village where there's no shop, no café, so you’ll need a car. It's very rural here, with views across the gently undulating countryside from the school. Two small towns with supermarkets - La Machine and Cercy-la-Tour, are both about 11 kilometres away. Decize, a much larger town on the Loire, is about 18 km away. There are two double bedrooms, and another small one with a triple-layer bunk bed suitable for children.

This cosy and relaxing house is located in a small village in the Allier (03, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes). You will find a bakery, a mini-market, a bar-tabac, a pharmacy, a hotel-restaurant, a local products shop and a brocante. The village borders the Allier River – ideal for canoeing or fishing – and the house is situated on the GR3, the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago). No wifi or television, but peace, relaxation and board games to enjoy life in a different way.

The gîte is in a rural location, but a short distance from a restaurant, supermarket and the highway, A71 (10 minutes).
