Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Forest County

The house was great- very clean and exactly as described in a beautiful Hillside location by the river.

this was a outstanding place in a perfect location secluded from all things in the city to get away from it all it is totally worth the location and spot to actually take the family and actually have a good time

Mark and Tammy’s home is charming and so comfortable for a relaxing stay. The views are beyond breathtaking. You can see the beautiful trees and river and sit out on the back deck and watch the birds soaring. A fantastic place to stay.

We were very pleased with the Hemlock Air B&B. I cannot stress enough how clean the place was. She provided a lot of little extras in the place to make it truly feel homey. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the TV in the evening. Unfortunately the weather kept us from using the backyard and fire pit. We ate out so we didn't utilize the kitchen but it was nicely stocked with whatever you might need to make a meal. Fridge was spacious. Bathroom was very nice. The shower was roomy and exceptionally clean. The linens were very nice as well. It truly was like a home away from home. It's exactly what you hope for with a stay away from home. Highly recommend.

We loved it here! It was the perfect place to have our family get together. The property is absolutely beautiful, so peaceful. The house had everything you could possibly need, it was truly like a home away from home! Also very clean. We hope to make another trip in the future. Highly recommend!

Upon first arrival, I knew this was a GREAT find! We walked into fresh eggs on the counter and when I found the information binder I was even more impressed there were beautiful handwritten notes about must sees, notes about the wonderful collection of books, a cupboard full of games and so many sweet touches! As newlyweds and ironically named Mr.and Mrs.Cox it was just the place! If you’re looking for a cozy find with beautiful views and cozy feels look no further!

The stay at Elizabeth’s spot was great! She was an amazing host and help me as soon as I needed help the place was fantastic. The front porch was great. I loved it and her spot is far enough away from the crazy city life so you can have privacy but yet only about 11 to 20 minutes away from all the beautiful hiking spots 10 out of 10 would recommend and most likely will be getting this spot again when I revisit !

Our family was just passing through. This little red house was a perfect and charming Ma and Pop style place to rest. Ralph made us feel right at home. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Great water pressure. Coffee amenities and extra toiletries made for a thoughtful, convenient stay.

The River House was such a pleasant stay a home away from Home where we could relax and enjoy the scenery for our second day it rain but we were able to sit in the patio and just relax while we listened to the rain and cooked burgers. the whole atmosphere was nice and quiet. Enjoyed a little wine by the river with a sun set. When we first arrived Derek was working on his lawn and he greeted us welcomely. Mid afternoon we sat with Phyllis and Derek and got to know them a little on how they enjoyed bed breakfast and them wanted to give that hospitality to others I'd say they nailed it I won't give away any details cause it was fun just finding them and being like that was really thoughtful. Also stop at the City of Warren all the people we got to meet were nice and kind from the small walk we took almost everyone who we walked by greeted us.

Check in was very easy and Linda May was very accommodating and went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Her welcome basket with baked goods and knickknacks were much appreciated!

We stayed one night on our way back to CT from MI with our 10 month old and dog. Jessi and Michael were very friendly and responsive. The apartment was immaculate and decorated very well. There were snacks stocked for us when we arrived. Our baby and dog loved seeing the horses in the backyard. We do a trip once or twice a year so I’m sure we’ll be back. Highly recommend!

Overall, our stay was good even tho it rained all weekend. Bed was comfortable & the place had everything we needed. Hot tub & pool table were a nice bonus. We had a relaxing, peaceful weekend & will definitely keep this place in mind for future (hopefully not rainy) weekend getaways as it is close to Cooks Forest. The host had done some research for us ahead of time & had a list of places we might like to go to while we were there which was greatly appreciated. If you enjoy antique stores, definitely check out the emporium/candy store. We also ate at clarion brewery (which had a vegan falafel sandwich that was right up my alley). On our way home (to Ohio) we went to “farmhouse antiques & rusty stuff” in Knox….this place was full of treasures waiting to find a new home & was definitely worth the stop!

I’ve don’t multiple stays at this location and would happen another! Recommended

We were in area for family reunion and found Rene’s place and it was perfect. It met all of our needs. It was clean, it was comfortable and it was cozy. The house is warm and inviting. We loved spending time on the front and back covered porches. The house was well furnished and Rene went well and above with the amenities. Rene was excellent to work with. She responded immediately when contacted.

This was another excellent stay at Linda’s place. We always feel at home here.

Great place. Clean. Privacy. Had nearly everything we needed. Will defiantly consider staying there again. Bryan and Jean were very accommodating.

Steve and Patti were great hosts. Very flexible with check in and communication was very good. The Timberbrook cabin was beautiful and it was a fantastic stay. We truly appreciated everything.

We loved this place for our girl's weekend getaway. It was just liked the listing said. Hedy was extremely responsive to my multiple questions prior to the stay. I would definitely recommend this her cabin!

Great stay for my family of five! My husband, our two littles, and our pup wanted a last minute weekend getaway and Richard made everything so easy! From flexible check in, to prompt communication, he was great to work with. The place was quiet, felt so homey, and had EVERYTHING you could want. Richard even set up a pack and play for our daughter so we didn’t have to bring one. Close to a lot of trails but nothing directly walkable from the house, and most attractions and stores were closed off season, but would be great to come back to in the spring or summer.

The cabin was very clean and cozy. It was a nice secluded area and we saw lots of wildlife. It was a nice change of pace from the hustle of every day life.

This place was absolutely beautiful ! My family had a wonderful time. Mary Ellen was very responsive and answered any questions I had, Had such a great time and booked it to go back in August again.

It was a great place. Nice field in front with a playground across the way. Charlie the pup. which was very friendly, came to visit our camp fire and hung around for a bit. We will book again.

Sara fully described the property in an accurate description. It is very rustic and takes you back to an old era in mountain cabins. Clean and comfortable but you are in the woods and an encounter with a critter could be expected. The view from the front porch is picturesque and an outstanding place to sit in the morning with your coffee and relax in the evening with that bowl of popcorn. Any problem we had was addressed quickly and to our satisfaction.

Private, great views, peaceful, great if you like to enjoy nature, but the drive way is a bit steep but there are two with one being much easier to get to over to, overall a great place to go enjoy nature
