Church of the Vaioni

An ancient deconsecrated church dating back to the early 1900s, originally built as a private chapel of Villa Philipson. Chiesino Dei Vaioni has a loft structure with two double bedrooms on two separate mezzanines. Outside, there is a kitchen with a wood-burning oven, private gardens with a tree-lined avenue and an olive grove. The gates and internal stairs were built by the Antica Fonderia Michelucci. The Windmill of the King is a unique and charming location, an oasis of peace and quiet just a stone's throw from Fanano (5 minutes by car), in the beautiful setting of the Modenese Apennines. The cottage is located an hour and a half from Bologna and 1 hour from Modena and is perfect for a romantic getaway or a family holiday.
