Holiday rentals with a kayak in Flanders

We had a great stay on the Panther; Louise and Nicholas were great hosts. The boat is a very quirky and cool place to stay. The location is a bit ‘out of the way’ and is a short bus or tram from the busy city centre but we found it a relaxing place to return to after a day of sightseeing. Louise recommended a couple of local spots - for brunch and a brewery for dinner - which were both great. The accommodation was comfortable and warm. The sleeping arrangements were ok for our family - our two young boys shared the small bedroom with bathroom - but wouldn’t work for others. But it would be a cool place for a couple to stay. The boat was warm and cosy, even in December. And when the stove malfunctioned, Louise quickly provided us an alternative heater. It would be fun to stay in the summer so we could enjoy the roof terrace! Louise was a very friendly, helpful and responsive host! We had lovely time.

Mooie ruime huisje in een rustige omgeving. Erg gezellig. Heerlijk vertoeven met een goed boek.

We loved our stay at Studio Twazel! Dieter was the perfect host with lots of suggestions and a carefully prepared map annotated with places to visit, eat and drink. The apartment was lovely - bright, clean and well equipped and the bed was super comfortable. The apartment is in a quiet area near a pretty canal and there is a great restaurant on the doorstep. A 5 minute walk took us into the historic centre of Ghent. Thank you fir a perfect visit, Dieter.

Villa Gigi ist ein schönes altes Haus wunderbar am Wasser gelegen wir kommen bestimmt wieder da Gent mehrere Aufenthalte wert ist!

Die Kapitänswohnung von Mattis ist eine ganz besondere Unterkunft. Sie befindet sich auf einem alten Lastkahn, der seine vermutlich letzte Liegestelle am Handelsdock gefunden hat. Die alten Lastkräne gepaart mit den neu entstehenden Wohnungen neben alten Hafen- und Industrieanlagen erzeugen ein einzigartiges Ambiente. Die Wohnung selbst ist einfach und zweckmäßig ausgestattet, die Fotos vermitteln einen guten Eindruck. Bei schönen Wetter im April wird es tagsüber schnell warm in der Kajüte, während es über Nacht doch deutlich abkühlt und morgens der Pelletsofen mehr als notwendig ist. Die Wohnung ist insgesamt ruhig, man muss sich als Landratte aber bewusst sein, dass so ein altes Schiff auch mal ein Knarren von sich gibt. Mattis ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der bei Problemen so schnell es geht antwortet und uns sehr gute Tipps zu Restaurants und Bier gegeben hat. Wir haben uns von Anfang an wie zuhause gefühlt und können die Kapitänswohnung nur empfehlen.

Maarten sent excellent directions and instructions, and was professional and friendly throughout our entire stay. Breakfast was plenty and delivered timely each morning - the coffee machine and coffee pods along with crockery and cutlery needed were great. We enjoyed each breakfast relaxing on the peaceful and private deck. The round bed was so comfortable and the bedroom felt cosy and just perfect for our 3-night stay, with a perfectly compact and useful bathroom. A quirky and unique place to stay within walking distance of Ghent town centre. Maarten’s boat and his hospitality is highly recommended.

Goede prijs-kwaliteit. Half uur van Antwerpen vandaan. Goede bedden / douche en rustige omgeving. Makkelijk kunnen vinden en fijn gereageerde host via berichten.

WAT EEN PARELTJE! Mijn vriend en ik verbleven hier twee nachten, maar zouden er voor altijd hebben willen blijven! Dit ontspanningshuisje overtreft alle verwachtingen! Op voorhand krijg je uitleg over alle faciliteiten. Zo wisten we dat de sauna en jacuzzi 1,5u nemen om op te warmen, waardoor we dit gemakkelijk konden inplannen. Alle benodigdheden zijn aanwezig en je kan de host steeds bereiken om te vragen meer hout te brengen. In de sauna kan je gemakkelijk met twee zitten, heel intiem. De jacuzzi is ruim, heerlijk relaxend! De beamer werkte perfect, je kan genieten van films en series helemaal privé op groot scherm. Het bad is zeer ruim! Dit was de eerste keer dat mijn vriend en ik ontspannen en met voldoende beenruimte samen in bad konden, zalig! De regendouche was super fijn en hier is opnieuw meer dan ruimte genoeg voor twee personen. Het huisje is spik en span, in de keuken is alles aanwezig en het elektrisch bed is zalig! TIP: ga voor de aan-huis massage!

Great place to stay with a large party. The boat was great fun, and not too far to walk to the centre. There's a decent amount of amenities if you want to cook, and the drinks fridge is a great touch. Highly recommend.
