Boat holiday rentals in Flanders

Maarten was a lovely host. The living accommodation was exactly as described and shown in the pictures and surprisingly spacious even for my giant husband. It was a short flat easy walk to the historic centre even with little legs in tow. breakfast was yummy with a special treat for my son who was very pleased that Maarten bought him a doughnut. communication was prompt and in perfect English

We spent three nights at four in the cabin of the captain of the houseboat Lucie. This is an experience! A cocoon where it's good to get warm after visiting the Christmas markets of Ghent and Bruges (quickly served by the highway). We enjoyed making breakfast and dinner as the kitchen is very well equipped. The rooms are narrow but that's normal, we're on a boat! In the morning the view of the canal is very pleasant with the sunrise over the water and the frozen grass! The bedding is very comfortable and the shower room functional. We all enjoyed this experience, especially since the hosts are very welcoming and present on the boat. We recommend this accommodation to people who love the unusual with comfort!

Maarten sent excellent directions and instructions, and was professional and friendly throughout our entire stay. Breakfast was plenty and delivered timely each morning - the coffee machine and coffee pods along with crockery and cutlery needed were great. We enjoyed each breakfast relaxing on the peaceful and private deck. The round bed was so comfortable and the bedroom felt cosy and just perfect for our 3-night stay, with a perfectly compact and useful bathroom. A quirky and unique place to stay within walking distance of Ghent town centre. Maarten’s boat and his hospitality is highly recommended.

In addition to being a passionate person with lots of interesting life stories, he is very welcoming, friendly and cares about the well-being of his guests. The boat trip is not to be missed, a moment of pure serenity and relaxation. Great introduction to the world of boats through Erwin's experience and knowledge. It is a very nice decorated ship with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. We liked it and the location is also good.

First time I can say I was surprised about my air bnb in a good way. The fact you are on a boat means you are in a small space but at no point did I ever feel the boat did not accommodate all my needs. The only time I felt like I was ever limited by the boat was when I was in the bedroom and had to hunch a tad bit (the only room you have to do this in) If you are looking for a unique stay, this airbnb was a highlight of our honeymoon. There is something special about eating steak and frites with a belgian beer on a boat in the canal.
