Holiday rentals with lake access in Essex County

We arrived Thurs., attended a wedding Friday, slept most of Saturday and left Sunday. We did hit the malls, BJ's on arrival and a greek dinner which portions sent us home with leftovers. We were a family of 8 and finding a place to facilitate us all was a challenge. This worked out perfectly for us. Would return without a doubt.

Had a good time with my family. A recommendation I would suggest to add photos of Mohawk Lake, mention close by restaurants also grocery stores.

We had a great time, this was the perfect space for my family of 4…..lots of options for getting to NYC! Host was amazing!

Louis was warmly welcoming to my friend and I, graciously waiting to greet us and show us the details of the room and amenities. The room and bathroom were spotless, and I loved the little details of the soap dispensers and the welcome shelves with water and such. The room was spacious with good light and had nice artistic touches. I look forward to staying at Louis’ place again when I’m in Newark, absolutely. Very close and convenient to the Newark international airport.

Great property easy access to New York City

We came for a 1.5 day excursion (short but that’s all we had time for this weekend 🥺) for some culture therapy (I needed it!!) in the city and Alex’s place was an easy choice. Alex’s place is in a prime location in Northeast NJ. It’s a comfy little quiet spot near a community park (also awesome). We got a great night’s rest after a long day of traveling between NJ and Long Island. All linens were fresh and clean; the kitchenette is stocked with the essentials (i.e nice quality fridge and microwave); the powerful AC unit was ice cold; and, the room felt secure. My favorite part about staying with Alex was the park just outside. Lots of cute turtles out there and it’s great for runners. Alex is transparent and conscientious about the Airbnb and its description, and I appreciated that most about staying with Alex. I was bringing someone on their first trip to NYC and not having a private bathroom was deal breaker for them. Alex helped make my lodging plans simple and easy!

Beautiful apartment – perfect for a New York vacation! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. The bedroom – actually the host’s study – is set up with a comfortable air mattress topped with an extra mat for added comfort. We felt very much at home during our 10-day stay. The bathroom was super clean and well stocked with all essentials. The connection to Times Square is great: depending on traffic, it takes about 15–30 minutes. The bus stop right in front of the building with a direct line to Times Square makes the location even better. Communication with Hande was smooth and easy. Thank you for this wonderful stay – we’d love to come back!

Very easy to find, cozy apartment very close to lots of public transportation options. Veronica was very friendly, Desi was beyond adorable. I would definitely stay with Veronica again if I have the option to do so next time I need to go to NYC.

Overall, I would recommend this Airbnb. When looking for parking, I recommend JFK Blvd for street parking to avoid the massive fees at the parking garage. The food in the local area is pretty good.

We had a pleasant stay at Rossanna's. The property is quiet and conveniently located, close to public transport, restaurants and shops. The house offers generous spaces for berths, which is perfect for resting with peace of mind. Special mention to the Rossanna team who was extremely responsive when a problem occurred, including the lock and access codes.
