La Bodega (the cellar) de Casa del río is an independent one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom, kitchen and living room, built on a ground floor. The kitchen is equipped to cook your own simple meals (but not oven/microwave). The apartment is basic and minimalist, but it’s also very comfortable and has everything you need for a enjoyable and simple stay. The apartment has views to the valley, a private terrace with amazing views and an independent entrance. You can also use the common areas and the big garden. Please be aware that the apartments do not have washing machine, TV or microwave/oven. If you can’t live without those, this may not be the perfect place for your stay. Phone signal and wifi work perfectly and are quite reliable. Casa del río is the perfect way to scape the noise and experience first-hand living a simple and sustainable life in an Asturias village off the beaten track. The property is ideal for people who want to be away from the noise and crowds, as it is quite isolated and the village of Xio has no services at all. Morriña is a recently renovated house (2019) on the banks of the Miño River, where the water ‘crashes’ against the house’s veranda. It has two exterior bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, and a spacious living room with a fireplace and a veranda overlooking the river on the upper floor. A kitchen with a dining area and a toilet, with access to the courtyard and the veranda, on the ground floor. A great deal of attention has been paid to lighting and comfort. We don't have WiFi, and cell phone coverage is limited. Our dogs and chickens live in the Rectory, so we can only accept dogs that are sociable and used to being around other animals.
