Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Erath County

The house was beautiful, plenty of room, easy to get to, and great location. The bed linens were amazing. Will definitely stay here again!!

A beautiful and serene getaway for the whole family… Joy is so thoughtful to think of anything guests may need! What a blessing to stay at such a child-friendly home. Certainly a place all ages will thoroughly enjoy! 😀 We really enjoyed visiting Dinosaur World & Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose nearby with our son, but then coming back to “The Retreat at The Ridge” and feeling like we were truly getting away from it all and enjoying magnificent views & nature right out the back door! Thank you Joy!

Great Place! Very Cozy. Highly recommend.. Had Storms knock out Electric... the owners checked on us and kept us updated on restoration! Very much enjoyed it though it was brief... i could have easily stayed wayyy longer!

This place has an amazing view, and was secluded. The perfect spot for a relaxing and peaceful weekend getaway. It has all the amenities needed to make the stay easy. The owners were timely with responses regarding questions we had.

Great location, very clean, huge back yard, light traffic street! House had everything we needed and snacks too! Cute touches everywhere and very comfortable beds. Would stay again!

The Rustic Rose is a darling home located smack dab in the middle of Stephenville, so EVERYTHING is easily accessible. Dee was very responsive and so easy to work with in planning our trip. Highly recommend if you have a family or friends that are headed to Stephenville!

We loved our stay at this cabin. It's out in a peaceful secluded area (just what we were looking for to get away from the city for a few days) but only about 10-20 minutes from Dinosaur Valley, Fossil Rim and all the other activities, stores and attractions at Glen Rose. I liked that they had a fenced in backyard area where we could let our pups explore, not very common in any other cabins I've stayed at. We also enjoyed going outside during the early morning and evening and seeing all the rabbits, deer, and all types of birds roaming around the property. We didn't have any issues but the host was very proactive with the check-in information and reaching out in case we had any issues or questions which I liked. If/when we come back to Glen Rose I would stay here again!

This was our 2nd time to stay at Slow Your Roll and we can’t wait to come back. It’s pretty far out in the country and that makes it quiet and beautiful. This time we had a little rabbit visit us outside! We love taking walks down the dirt roads. It’s a peaceful retreat but in a cabin that has everything you need…several big TVs with DirecTV, full kitchen and two bedrooms with King Sized beds and full bathrooms. Plus it’s always immaculately clean!

this place was amazing! It was above and beyond expectations! cabins are comfortable, cool air, lots of room, great water pressure, REALLY well stocked, and so cute! Our group was always busy exploring the property, playing on the zipline, using the court or in the game room. everyone really loved the porch swings and the hot tub as well. This place would be awesome for a family gathering, a birthday, or grad party. I can't wait to come back! I can't say enough good things about this location, we all absolutely loved it!!!

Due to extreme cold, the hot tub temp was not ideal. Jason gave me a credit back on the price which was appreciated.

It was just wonderful. It was so clean. I am a professional cleaner this place so spotless. It is not well. Provided for a very long Stay not many kitchen utensils the hot tub was nice and clean. The location was wonderful. We just went to check it out and just so happened. Our cabin was the first one clean so we got an early check in which was awesome. We will be returning and the one next to it.

The place is peaceful and beautifully decorated. We came for the privacy and the dark sky, so that we could use our telescope. We would absolutely stay here again.

Relaxing, peaceful, beautiful, loved the private lake & all the fishing we got to do! Loved petting the donkeys ! The barge was great to take out on lake , we had a great time fishing from it! Her husband came to check on us, see if we needed anything at all, brought his sweet granddaughter too! Very nice people . We have been to many lake houses but this was just a gem because it was private. No loud boats , parties or people drinking like you normally see on a lake. .. it was just us , nature & wildlife! It’s a special place that we will keep going back to . Also, it’s only 1 1/2 hours away from our house and that’s a big plus! Also, town is only 15 minutes away and the people are so nice in Stephenville. Restaurants are GREAT!! We ate at Greer’s 3 times & the Peacock was very good too! 5 minutes from the lake house is B&B country store if you don’t want to travel into town. We made many wonderful memories & will make many more there!
