Family-friendly holiday rentals in Ellicott City

Cannot give enough stars to this property and hosts!!! What’s a paradise on the Bay. The hosts ensured our stay was stress free, comfortable and that we knew all about the location. The property has some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. Linens were high quality and the cabin is spotless! The extra little design features just made it FUN! We spent a lot of time on the deck, in the hot tub, and at the fire pit! The neighborhood is peaceful and the neighbors are so kind and welcoming! Don’t forget to hang out on the dock and definitely walk down to the beach! We will see this property again next year and cannot wait to book it!

This home was the perfect place to celebrate my daughter’s graduation! We had family travel in from several states, and everyone felt comfortable and truly enjoyed the spacious layout. It was a bit too chilly to use the pool, but I’m already looking forward to booking this home again. I’ll definitely be a repeat renter!

We had a wonderful family reunion here with 3 generations. Each family had their own private space but there was tons to do on the property together as well. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and made sure we were comfortable and happy! We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked, too.

Absolutely amazing! The place had so much to do whether it was outside or in! Swimming in the pool, hot tub, kayaking and/or paddle boarding on the lake, giant yard games. Inside had a pool table, wide variety of board games, and many streaming services. Brenda was extremely friendly and helpful in many way. She had a binder full of local places for food and things to do! She truly showed us the best of Maryland.

Brandon's place was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have asked for a cleaner or more comfortable space. The location was great and Brandon is an amazing host. We would definitely stay here again!

Natalie’s place was just like the pictures. Everything was clean and well stocked for our stay of 6 adults. The sunsets were beautiful from the dock and the kayaks were a definite bonus! We enjoyed time outside on the dock, deck, and in the hot tub! The beds were very comfortable and our stay was great!

The lovely “cottage” on Deb‘s property was gorgeous, serene & just what the dr ordered for this exhausted DC mom! Deb couldn’t have been more welcoming; provided an amazing spread of fresh fruits, cookies, a lemon cake, wine, bagels w/cream cheese & OJ in the fridge. Super appreciated as we didn’t arrive until 9:30PM the 1st night. The 1st few days, my teen son & I enjoyed the tranquility of the property, including the refreshing pool & plenty of fun activities nearby. Then, my husband (who had to work), picked up our son so I cld decompress & have a couple much-needed days to hang out w/girlfriends who joined me @ the cottage. Although our last full day was a tad rainy, it didn’t deter us from having a delish brunch in town, checking out the arts festival by the canal & stepping into some cool stores on the main st of vibrant Frederick. Deb‘s accommodations were uber-plush; by far the most luxurious AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you so much for the cathartic reset, Deb! 😮‍💨

Very nice place to stay near Gaylord convention center. Super clean condo. All the essentials are there. Lots to do at the resort as well as nearby walking distance. Having a baby in the group we did quite a bit of laundry. A laundry room was on our floor with two washers and four dryers and free of charge. We barely passed anyone on the seventh floor. We would def stay here again.

This 5th Wheel is like a water front Tiny Home. It is accurately described and pictured in the listing. It was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. It is in a working boat yard so it was cool seeing the owners working on and moving boats around. Also had some nice conversations with some of the people who dock their boats here. The marina itself seems very healthy. Clear water loaded with schools of bait fish so the blue heron, great egret and osprey were easy to spot. Unique and fun Airbnb. Highly recommend.

I had planned this trip a few months out, knowing I wanted some peace and quiet for myself and my dog. Little did I know that I would be recouperating from 2 surgeries. Tom's place was exactly what I needed. Quiet, beautiful and serene.

The cottage was in a perfect location for my sisters and I to stay for our "sisters weekend" escape. The setting is beautiful and so relaxing. There was plenty of room for us and everything was clean and tidy. We took advantage of the kayaks during the day and had a wonderful fire with s'mores in the evening looking out over the water. We will be back!

David and Elizabeth’s place was perfect for my fiancé and our dog Kai. We attended a music festival at RFK and it was a short drive away. We actually ended up riding scooters back because it is so close by! There are so many restaraunts and things to do within walking distance. Check-in was super easy and it’s a very homey, comfortable space. The kitchen has a small fridge, toaster oven, microwave and hot plate with pots, pans, and everything you need to prepare a basic meal. We were able to set our dogs crate up (he’s a medium sized husky) perfectly and still had plenty of space to move around. Finding street parking was super easy and close by. You can hear noise from above at times for sure… ear plugs and a night time noise machine are provided to help. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

My friend and I loved our stay! It was a lovely little neighborhood. Alex and Shelby’s place was everything that we needed. Cute and quaint. Only the slightest of pitter patters heard from upstairs. Very clear instructions for checking in and checking out. Convenient for public transportation and provided metro cards were a great gift. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the DC area!

My wife and I came to Baltimore for a few days to get away and see the sights. The house become an important part of our getaway. First, it was in a very charming neighborhood. Right next to a very nice park. More about this park later. At night the entire tree-lined street lights up making it look magical. The home itself has a certain charm and we felt at home the moment we stepped inside. The house is a short drive away from the Inner Harbor, which was the main attraction of our trip. But we found plenty of other places to visit during our stay. Our final night, back to the park for a leisurely walk to the other side where we found an ice cream shop! What a wonderful way to finish up our trip sitting on a park bench, eating our ice cream, watching the people walk by. Rafi, our host, was fantastic. He responded to all of our questions very quickly and was very friendly. Rafi was the perfect host. Overall we completely enjoyed our stay here. Thank you so much Rafi!

Nicole is a gracious and welcoming host. Her place was clean, safe, and quiet. We had a very pleasant stay in this location, convenient to shopping, dining, and all Annapolis has to offer.

WOW. This was one of the most wonderful homes we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was clean, comfortable and accessible. Marissa was so helpful with recommendations, flexible check-in times so we could get my little one down for a nap, my three-year-old love the pool, dedicated playroom, toys, swing set and s’mores that were such a perfect gift from Marissa. My son asked if we could move there! My husband and I loved the kayaks and pond. We saw bunnies in the morning - it’s truly magical. It’s so private and just 2 mins away from town. We made so many memories and I can’t recommend staying at this property enough.

Absolutely loved this space. The location is great and allows for exploration of the city. The space itself was clean and spacious. My favorite piece was having access to the gym within the Fairmount hotel (if im not mistaken). Lastly, host(s) are extremely responsiveness. I had questions about the property prior to booking as i was booking extremely last minute and I received a quick response.

Fabulous views of Chesapeake Bay, pool was great, deer everywhere, house was spacious with three living areas. Would definitely stay there again.

Greg’s place was very clean and in a great location. Walkable to markets, restaurants, and metro. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. It was a great place to stay during our family vacation to DC!

We found Paul’s home very comfortable and accommodating. Paul was accessible when we reached out to him and he communicated well with us. It was a very nice location with a fantastic view of the bay, as we hoped for.

Nathan has a lovely home—it feels like stepping back in time into one of old Washington’s charming houses. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and communication with Nathan was excellent. The location is convenient, about a 25-minute walk to Capitol Hill. While the surrounding area could be better—the streets were a bit dirty—it wasn’t a big deal and didn’t affect our overall experience. We had a wonderful time in Washington, and staying at this house was definitely part of it. Thank you, Nathan!
