Cabin holiday rentals in Elk State Forest

Beautiful, clean cabin with all listed amenities. Spacious with plenty of sleeping and bathroom space. Fully stocked efficient kitchen. Hottub works and is very roomy. Peaceful woodland scenery. Neighbors seemed visually curious about us.

We booked this cabin for a bachelorette trip with 13 guests, and we have no regrets! Communication was excellent, everyone was comfortable (very comfortable beds and couches, good bathrooms for a large group), and the accommodations were great (campfire, hot tub, and TV alongside plenty of towels, bedding, and travel soaps). The dining table and living room are perfect for large groups. It’s deep enough in the woods to feel secluded while also close enough to the store to grab anything you might need without a hassle. We loved the cabin, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, restful escape with friends and family!

Joshua's place was exactly as depicted. The house was immaculate and it was spacious. The area the house is at is very serene and peaceful, and it was a great place to relax and unwind for a few days. When my friends and I were at the house, we enjoyed the comfortable living room, and played a lot of pool. If we were going to be in the area again, we would definitely enjoy staying at Joshua's house again! The only thing I would suggest is a grill. Thanks Joshua!!!

A quiet, beautiful place beside the creek - so lovely and relaxing! Even though it was chilly and raining, we had to take some time to be outside and listen to water flowing by! The house was very clean and the furniture was so comfortable! Courtney is a great host and very helpful and accommodating. We hope we can stay here again when the weather is warmer and sunny!

Cozy cabin in a peaceful setting. We saw three elk in the yard during our stay. A whippoorwill stopped by for a visit each evening. Beds were very comfortable. Hot tub and fire pit were perfect. The location is ideal for access to the valleys that run deeper into the wilderness to the North. This place has exactly what a rental in the PA wilds should have. 10/10 we will book this location again.

Phil is an amazing host and provides everything you need for a wonderful stay at Stanroph Cabin! It is beautifully kept, located on 9 acres of land (a rarity in this area), and has plenty of space inside as well (spacious living and dining areas, and generously proportioned bedrooms). Very peaceful, and wonderfully relaxing. The hot tub and fire pit are great amenities! If you are new to the Cook Forest area, it has many unique attractions to enjoy. Some of our family favorites include canoeing on the Clarion, ice cream cones at Pale Whale, the Trading Post, visiting Seneca Point, and climbing the Fire Tower. We have already rebooked for next year!

Me and my girlfriend loved the place it was the perfect getaway and birthday present for her. Jessica was very nice, accommodating, and even let her pet her animals! 10/10 would recommend and try again

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely perfect. The cozy log cabin feel immediately made us feel right at home—warm, inviting, and full of rustic charm. The interior was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What really made this place special, though, was the setting. We especially loved the wide-open fields and the complete privacy that surrounded the cabin. It felt like our own little escape from the world—quiet, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying coffee outside with that beautiful view was a highlight of our trip. The host was fantastic—quick to respond, friendly, and clearly cared about making our stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with all the charm of a classic log cabin and plenty of space to unwind, this is the place. Would definitely come again!

Great location accessible to Leonard Harrison State Park, Cherry Springs S.P., and to Wellsboro! Previous guests left charcoal for us, but definitely bring your own if you plan to use the grill. $5 wood bundles available from homes on the drive in.

My husband and I had a great time at the cabin. It's peaceful, quiet, and has everything you need. Kelly & Jeremy we're extremely helpful. Had a slight complication with the water heater for the outdoor shower and they went above and beyond to fix it.

We have stayed at Turkey Hollow Lodge in the past and it was as nice as we remembered. The driveway is quite rugged but my boys loved driving over the streams. We appreciated the generous amount of firewood provided and cooked outdoors the first night. The kitchen had everything we needed for the second night. The location is ideal as it is close to everything Cook Forest has to offer. The cabin is surrounded by woods with no neighbors in sight. It stayed cool during the day due to the shade from the trees and the furnace kept us warm at night. The WiFi worked well indoors.

We had a great stay! The house is beautiful and unique. We especially loved the outdoor firecamp such a perfect spot to relax. Our kids had so much fun playing in the basement. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Camp David was clean and tastefully decorated. We loved the space and it was a safe distance from the road so our dog could roam freely. We would definitely stay there again.

Great place for some peace and quiet. Five of us stayed and had more than enough room. Loved the creek in the backyard, full kitchen and big dining area. Would love to go back again for a longer stay.

A bit out of the way is where you stay and back beyond the gate. A quaint cabin full of glass more windows could open but that will pass. The beauty and space will surprise the eyes. It fills your mind with the beautiful scenery and is well worth the wait. Pass the porch with the picnic table and see all of the nests of the birds before. Look up to see a few more in nooks and crannies; even above the door. The Cardinal will remind you of your neighbors and will greet you upon the lights first rays. That won't be soon. You have your day of play on the rocks and the fire will set your night ablaze. Inside this home cozy and warm sometimes too warm because of the gas wood burning stove. All is provided for and shared between owner and guest of past each need thought of like a claim comfy in a cove. The wood for your fire, the butter for your toast. The coffee the tea the water you need most. The space for your dog and child to play, a couch and TV for when that fades away. Yours fortoday

Thomas was a great host! The cabin was perfect for a little getaway from all of the hustle and bustle. The cabin is close to Winslow Hill Elk viewing. Overall, the cabin was extremely comfortable and clean! Definitely would recommend staying.

We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Creek Cabin. Paul & Kathryn were great hosts and very responsive. The setting was so peaceful, with the cabin tucked in the woods. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch with our coffee every morning listening to the birds singing cheerfully, and the beautiful sounds of a creek bubbling over the rocks. The cabin was clean and felt like home, away from home. If you love nature, peace and quietness, this spot is for you.

Such a beautiful, clean cabin. The beds were very comfortable. The available firewood was such a nice touch. Our boys loved the hot tub. Well stocked kitchen.

My husband and I daydreamed about a cabin in the woods getaway; some calm, quiet, quality time outta the city. And while we knew we wanted something peaceful and nice from the world, we couldn’t have expected the quality stay we would receive while staying at Victoria’s Cabin! It has the cabin in the woods stay and feel. But also so clean and with anything you could need. It was clean, cozy and peaceful. The surroundings were beautiful and ideal and there was wonderful hiking and sight seeing to enjoy. Victoria is kind, responsive and made all the directions and instructions simple to follow. We are so beyond pleased with our stay, the getaway we absolutely needed and highly recommend this cabin to anyone interested. Only thing to note is that telephone service is pretty bad in the whole area. As far as WiFi and internet, we didn’t care in the least. But it made being in touch with my son challenging. But if we’re being honest, I needed the break from him too :-) 10/10!!

Richie was so hospitable and a great host. He was so kind and the Air BNB was so clean, had great amenities and accessories. We were so pleased and highly recommend. He answers quickly and is so easy going. We had our wedding weekend there and he was so kind to even leave us a gift. We cant wait to go back!

Nicole's place was great. We travel to the area frequently in the summer and we are so glad to have found this gem. The beds were comfortable, the cabin was clean. She even included kindling for the firepit. We cant wait to stay again! Nicole was also such a thoughtful host.

Beautiful place to stay. No issues at all, super clean. Checking in early was not a problem. ( I dd ask first.) I would recommend Elk Pines to family and friends.
