Warm and cozy aurora cabin on the south coast

Great location with so much to do within driving distance. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was so cozy and calm with beautiful surroundings. We saw the northern lights, the glow of a volcano and the children had a lot of fun on the zip line.

The cottage is definitely “little”, and the bedroom is possibly the smallest I’ve ever slept in. However, the use of space is very smart and efficient, and personal touches and care are evident everywhere. The agricultural setting is lovely, and several times we were amused to find our departure slowed by a herd of cattle being driven down our access road to another pasture. The host, Heidar, was extremely responsive and attentive, particularly tipping us that the Northern Lights might be seen the last night…and we stayed up to see a spectacular display!

Wonderful cabin. We very much enjoyed being on the farm, disconnected from everything and especially getting to visit the animals. We didn't get to ride the horses, but we did get to pet them and say hello. Lovely cats as well. We would love to come back and can only recommend this airbnb.

The home was comfortable and had lots of space. The kitchen had everything we needed to do our own cooking. The view from the house and from the decks overlooked farmland and mountains in the distance. Gudfinna was friendly and welcoming. She surprised us on our last morning with homemade waffles and jam. A great place to stay. Also the hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking.

A fantastic place, quiet, surrounded by the nature of this fantastic land, nearby there is also a canyon that we could not visit, the house inside BEAUTIFUL, full of windows that create breathtaking views. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Wow! Just wow. This airbnb was absolutely enchanting. We loved watching the waterfalls, and listening to the birds nearby. Cabin had absolutely everything we needed. It did feel private, even though there are other cabins. The bed comfy, we had very good sleep. The shower was very nice and we enjoyed the body wash and shampoo. We plan on renting again in the future!! This airbnb is a def must, and a great deal!!

The hot tub was lovely. The cottage was cozy and clean. We loved the porch. We were able to see the northern lights while hanging outside. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen with no issue. Great spot and close to the lagoon and a few kilometers from multiple restaurants. Would recommend to anyone going to the area.

This was a fantastic cabin. The beds were extremely comfortable. And the view was amazing to wake up to. The hot tub is no longer included in the cabin (there are several hot springs in the area though) but otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Great little cabin, decorated with taste and with all you need for a short time stay. We were lucky enough to see the Northern lights two nights in a row. Clear instructions and easy check-in, we came back a few days later on our way back to Reykjavik.

Be sure to stay for a few more days, it is very peaceful and very well equipped.We spent our last night here before leaving Iceland, making our own meals, watching the sunset, the most exciting is the aurora, it's already the end of April, and it's so lucky to see the aurora.The only thing to note here traffic should be suitable for arriving by car only.

We had an amazing stay here! The host provided clear check in instructions and check out was very easy. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was lovely to watch the sunset from the decks and an extra plus with the property cat coming to visit us! Highly recommend
