Holiday rentals with a fireplace in El Rompido

Maria has such a special house renovated and cared for in every artistic detail from the special tiles peering out from under the roof to the beautiful motifs and craftsmanship interwoven all throughout the house. The view from the balcony is one that allows you to sit for hours - morning and evening, it’s a magical setting of the river and a Portuguese village across from it. The beds were extremely comfortable and the duvets very warm. We were entirely enchanted by this perfect Spanish house in a lovely atmospheric real local village. The region is wonderful - 1.5 hours from Seville and near some great spots in Portugal. We will surely come again. Thank you for the perfect place to spend my birthday weekend!!!

We enjoyed a very relaxing and easy 7 days at Marie's house. The place is stunning, even more so than the pictures, and the effort that has gone into maintaining it is evident. Marie was always responsive when we had any questions either about the house or the local area, and waited to meet us after our late night flight, so we wouldn't miss the turning for the house. Getting into Tavira is super easy, the only consideration is that the driveway of the house is long and very bumpy. You don't need a 4x4 or anything, but it was a bit of a surprise the first time we got there! Would very much recommend this place and the local area. Merci, Marie!

Really nice little house with pool! Great with children and very calm area. Be aware that you drive ~25 minutes to the beach from Furnazinhas.

This place was amazing and Carmen was there to help us during the entire stay. Amazing heated pool and the beer machine was of great help.

An authentic stay in a very peaceful and secluded setting. Good value for money. Some things could do with updating in time (kitchen, utensils etc), but can't complain considering the very reasonable price. The pool was lovely and outdoor space was perfect. It was our first time in Portugal and we didn't mind travelling to beaches etc from the location as we were able to enjoy the rural countryside and quiet roads. If you like a peaceful, quiet retreat then this is a great place to stay.

What a slice of heaven on the outskirts of Faro. A beautiful garden, stunning views and lovely terrace for us to sit and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather. A true hidden gem, they also serve the most unreal breakfast with fresh ingredients sourced locally and from their own garden. Alex & Monique gave us the best recommendations, from restaurants to more private beaches. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, very well-equipped, and had everything we needed to feel at home. It’s in a perfect location , just a short walk to the boat that takes you to the beach, which made everything super convenient. The area itself is incredibly charming and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ area where we grilled a few meals, and the beautiful lemon tree — we picked fresh lemons and made delicious lemonade! The bathrooms were clean and in great condition too. We truly loved our time here and can’t wait to come back next year!

The place is ideally located with a short walk to the old town and river. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again and get to stay in this beautiful little house.

We had a very nice week as a family of three in Casa Regina, Apartment 2. We were able to sit comfortably on the large terrace. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. We were able to use the pool and garden nicely. Washing machine great. Andrew and his mother Lurdes were very responsive and communicative. In case of problems with the shower, they responded quickly and there were cookies and wine as a small compensation. When booking, Andrew also points out that it is a quiet residential unit. It is actually important to consider this, as the apartments are quite close to each other. Apartment 3 adjoins the large bedroom and, depending on the neighbors, it can also be a bit noisy. You can also always hear the street, but at night it is relatively quiet and also at the pool it is idyllic. It should also be mentioned that the entrance from apartment 1 leads to the terrace of apartment 2. We had very nice neighbors, so it wasn't disturbing for us.

In our travels through Portugal, this was absolutely the best place we stayed. Marcio’s place is very spacious, very clean, and has the feeling of being in a real home. There is a large outdoor patio where we enjoyed hanging out. And even though we were in a central location, the apartment was peaceful and quiet. Marcio was very easy to communicate with, and even when we locked ourselves out of the apartment, he was extremely kind and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was fabulous!!

We had a fantastic stay at Fatima's beautiful property. It exceeded our expectations, offering privacy, stunning peaceful surroundings, ample facilities on site and easy access to surrounding beaches and towns. Our children spent much of their time in the swimming pools, but our highlight was the amazing farm kitchen where we collected coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and warm baked bread every morning along with a variety of fruits from the farm surrounding the property. Fatima and her team were exceptional hosts. Considerate, helpful and quick to respond. We were welcomed as old friends and given a guided tour on arrival, then left with space and privacy. Any questions that arose were answered quickly, we were even offered fresh cakes one morning! We would return in a heartbeat, thank you so much Fatima!

The space is very beautiful and quiet has a wonderful sunset is a little away from the center but by car is close it has all the amenities we were very well received by Carlos and his family and whenever we requested some help or hint quickly replied to us. Great space for resting with family,we love and recommend it.

Hichem’s apartment is well located within the convenience of the Old Village which contains a convenience store (very cheap by Australian standards), pub and a restaurant. The village is secure and parking is a plenty.

Great accommodation, everything is super clean and cozy. The apartment is in a super quiet location and everything is within walking distance! You feel safe, even at night! Anabela is super sweet and responds within a few minutes. It is only 10 minutes to the airport by taxi and the fares are very reasonable. We were very satisfied and would love to come back, thank you!

This apartmnet was excellent and very well located for all the golf course we played at. Also very close to the beaches and restaurant which were only 5 to 10 minutes’ drive away, overall excellent accommodation

We had a brilliant 9-day stay at Tamsin’s house. The villa couldn’t have been better situated, being a 2-min walk from town and within easy reach of local towns / beaches and shops. The house itself was large and well equipped, with a big swimming pool and living area. We travelled with 2 young children and the house was perfect, with stair-gates, toys and a comfortable travel cot and high chair. Tamsin was also very responsive snd accommodated an early check in and late departure. We would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful villa and pool with a breathtaking view down over the hills to the sea and islands in the distance. The whole place is spotlessly clean and furnished to a very good standard with comfortable beds, sofas and sunbeds and both indoor and outdoor dining spaces. The pool is spacious and inviting and. makes a lovely focal point in the garden. Matthijs is an excellent host, responding swiftly to messages in a helpful and friendly manner. We highly recommend this villa.

Madalena was a fabulous host, really friendly and always a quick response to my messages.. a stunning location, the photos really don't do it justice. We stayed for 4 nights, enjoying walking to nearby Loule. A supermarket just 5 mins walk away and a cafe. Would not hesitate to go back, thank you so much Madalena

Micky and Silvia came across as a lovely couple and very friendly we had a little problem with my sister locking herself out of one of the apartments Micky acame over and sorted it immediately thank you again. The Villa is a fabulous place very peaceful very modern but it needs a few little tweaks like better pillows more cups the sofa beds in the studio apartments are uncomfortable. We took the whole family 11 of us in total. A great week

We stayed at Rich & Yan’s place on our family holiday with our 2 year old and it was just perfect for us. It was lovely to have a big patio area outside too within easy reach of the pool (which we used every day!). Everything had been thought of, from children’s books, welcome food and drink, highchair, travel cot etc to the supply of shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash in each bathroom. We loved the clean, homely feel of the place without it feeling too cluttered. The location was perfect for us, allowing us some peace and quiet when we needed but within a 10/15 minute drive of everywhere we needed to be including beautiful beaches and restaurants. The hosts Rich & Yan were very responsive and provided plenty of recommendations and detailed check-in instructions. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone with a young family!

Wonderful house, with lots of space for outdoors activities, close to Loule where there are there is lots of wonderful restaurants and culture. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend!

Wow! What an amazing place to stay! We couldn't believe how beautiful this place is. House, garden, pool, the view over the mountains and the quiteness where absolut fantastic. 25 minutes by car to Faro beach just by to the airport. We would definitely come back. Our little kids loved the place as well.
