Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Eastern coast of Cantabria

What a wonderful stay we had in your beautiful home! There was everything we needed including a fabulous shower with good water pressure and tons of hot water. It was like having a home away from home. We stayed for 5 weeks and explored the entire Basque region by car, from Santander to Burgos to Pamplona to San Sebastian and Bearritz/Bayonne. This home is centrally located and Berango itself offers a nice small town neighborhood feeling. The metro is close by but we found driving into Bilbao more convenient. It's also close to some fine beaches. Garbiña is a terrific host -- very friendly, funny and caring. We hope to return again.

Es una estancia fantástica. Ana estuvo muy pendiente para facilitarnos la estancia. Fue muy amable. El lugar es muy tranquilo y tanto las vistas como la casa son preciosas. Una experiencia increíble. Sin duda repetiremos.

An absolutely stunning property, with everything you could possibly need for a home away from home stay. Fantastic pool and pool house as well. Large kitchen/ dining/ living area meant that even with 8 adults staying it never felt crowded. Fresh baked goods left for our arrival as well as complementary toiletries. Tania and her husband were so helpful even arranging an early check in at the last minute. Genuinely is only 15 minutes drive from Bilbao and the beach, although bus stop is only a short walk away. Couple of restaurants in the local town are a short walk away. Comment from a past visitor about security cameras was over exaggerated, there is one camera pointing at the back of the garden and not into or around the house. Also felt very safe as there is the regional police headquarters behind the property 😂(but doesn’t overlook it at all). We will definitely be returning to this property and to beautiful Bilbao.

Hemos estado 12 personas en la casa, matrimonios con niños y lo que diga se quedaría muy corto, la casa es espectacular en todos los sentidos, ubicación, limpieza, tamaño, cómoda, nos ha parecido increíble y sin duda repetiremos!! Rebeca muy amable y atenta. Merece mucho la pena.

12 of us stayed with Mari Luz and had a great time. Everyone was comfortable and felt at home for the 4 nights we were there. At first I was worried that we might disturb Mari Luz but we didn't receive any complaints despite 1 or 2 late nights drinking around the dinner table. Also I'm extremely glad we stayed in Castro Urdiales instead of Bilbao since Castro was a much more relaxing and hospitable place and Bilbao was only a 30 min bus away anyway.

Casa Merino is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood in the mountains. In order to get into town (Castro Urdiales) and easily get to other areas of Cantabria, hiring a car or bringing your own is recommended. Pilar was very communicative and there to welcome us when we arrived. The house was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Pilar also readily answered queries during our stay and gave recommendations. We would happily recommend Casa Merino.

We had a good two night stay in Grace’s house. Grace was friendly, charming and helpful. We enjoyed our trip to Santander on the local ferry service (thank you Grace for the suggestion!). The house was very clean, we appreciated the parking space within the courtyard and we would stay again.

Kleine, gemütliche Unterkunft mit toller Aussicht! Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet, das Badezimmer war sehr sauber und vor dem Haus ist ein Parkplatz! Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Kommunikation, uns wurden Restaurants empfohlen und Bego war jederzeit erreichbar und hat sich nach unserem Wohlbefinden informiert. Der Check In war einfach und verlief reibungslos. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Fuimos a pasar las Navidades y nos sentimos como en casa. Fuimos con nuestro perrete y no nos pusieron ninguna pega. El apartamento perfecto, y muy cerca de la playa Y Gloria como anfitriona muy bien, pendiente de nuestra llegada y cualquier duda que tuviéramos respondía con rapidez

Ha sido un placer! Ubicacion perfecta, zona muy tranquila y cerca del centro.

Our stay at Veronica’s place was amazing! The apartment is beautiful, very comfortable, and has everything you might need. We were traveling with our 4-month-old baby, and it was incredibly baby-friendly — there was even a crib where our little one finally slept through the night, and a baby tub, which made things so much easier. Communication with Veronica was smooth throughout; she’s very responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

Absolutely fantastic stay. The host sorted us a taxi to and from Bilbao, with no problems. Also very responsive when messaged. Highly recommended the stay, it’s in a beautiful location

Fomos um grupo de 6 e o apartamento correspondeu às espectativas. Foi super fácil o check in/check out, bem arrumado e muito agradável.

El apartamento nos ha encantado. Hemos estado una familia de cuatro y nos hemos sentido muy a gusto. La anfitriona ha sido muy amable y atenta. El apartamento es bonito, cómodo, con unas vistas fantásticas, aparcamiento cercano y la estación de tren para coger el cercanías a Bilbao justo enfrente. No le falta de nada y, además, al ir con niños, hemos agradecido mucho los juegos de mesa. Los pequeños detalles se agradecen como el tener a disposición 2 tarjetas Barik para recargar, por decir alguno de ellos.

A great stay in a beautifully renovated and equipped apartment. Plenty of room for a family of 4 with great views of the river. Short Metro into old town! Would recommend as a quieter area to stay in around Bilbao

Le logement est particulièrement agréable pour sa belle et grande terrasse avec la jolie vue ! Luis est très gentil et nous a accompagné pour nous montrer la place de parking. Le logement est petit mais très propre et il y a tout ce qu’il faut.

Fantastic hosts. Jon was excellent in communication. We went during the cup final so bilbao was very busy. He told us train times and even took us too and from bilbao. Couldn't have asked for a better host.

le logement est impeccable et avec une vue et un accès à la crique. Il ya deux appartements côte à côte, chacun avec leur coin terrasse. L'intimité n'est pas la même mais le couple qui est arrivé en milieu de séjour était très discret. Le séjour c'est très bien passé.

Que gran estadía ,con nuestra familia nos sentimos como en casa Iñigo es un gran anfitrión nos dio una gran bienvenida con pastel y vino . Nos recomendó muchos lugar . Su casa es un espectáculo. Todo estaba tal cual en las fotos . Volveremos pronto ! Recomiendo este lugar.

Easily one of the best places I have ever stayed. I had a great time, the hosts were lovely kind people, and the surroundings beautiful. Would recommend wholeheartedly

La casa de José Ramón es un lugar genial para disfrutar de unos días de descanso y playa! Tiene todo lo que puedas necesitar, las camas son muy cómodas (lo que, unido a la tranquilidad de la zona, hace que tu descanso sea perfecto), tiene un jardín maravilloso y, además, no podía estar más limpio todo! La ubicación es muy cómoda para poder acercarte andando a cualquier sitio, pero lejos de la zona que puede ser más bulliciosa (ahora estaba todo súper tranquilo) y tener la plaza de garaje es otra gran ventaja para no tener que preocuparte del coche. Y, además de todo esto, José Ramón es un hombre majísimo. Muchas gracias por todo! P.D.: si vas con peques (y, si no, también :-D), las playas de Isla son otro gran punto a favor!

Fuimos toda la familia con nuestra perrita a pasar un fin de semana en Suances y quedamos encantados, tanto con la amabilidad de Carmen como con las comodidades de la casa. Todo muy limpio ordenado. Para mascotas está genial ya que tiene una terraza cercada con una pequeña parcelita de prao. Repetiríamos sin duda.

We stayed at Roberto's place on our trip to Bilbao and we loved it. It is not in the centre of Bilbao but it is right next to the metro and can be in Bilbao city centre/old town very quickly. The flat was tidy and had everything we needed, including a nice outdoor terrace area to relax on nice summer evenings. To address what other reviews have said, it is a bit loud at times but we never had any trouble when it came to bedtime and often found ourselves enjoying the noise of the hustle and bustle of the Basque streets. Parking was a little difficult but we always managed to find a spot. Roberto was very communicative and helped us find the apartment easily. Overall we would recommend this as a place to stay for your trip to Bilbao
