If you're looking for a place in Plett for a family holiday with young kids (ours are 9 & 6) then this is a superb house. Nice safe and peaceful complex, communal areas are clean, the pools are great, and the house has everything you need. BUT please note the 3rd outside bedroom is actually tiny. It's a double bed, right up against the wall. My parents (Granny and Granddad) also joined us and no way they could use that as a bedroom. They can't climb over each other to get out of bed! So they moved into the 2nd bedroom and our kids slept on mattresses on the floor for 10 nights. The outside room is perfect for 1 teenager/adult. The house is well equipped, and lots to do on rainy days. It definitely needs some TLC and in need of a modernization but overall a good family holiday house in Plett.

This is not the 1st time that I have been at John's place. And I will continue visiting whenever I can.

We stayed at Sue's in our way up the garden route and it was just what we needed! The hot tub was warm and ready when we arrived, the property fit our family of 4 perfectly and it really was a lovely quant little flat. The surroundings were amazing - so beautiful. Would happily come back!

5 Stars – A Slice of Paradise in Knysna! We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home in Knysna. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed — the hosts greeted us warmly and had thoughtfully left snacks, a bottle of wine, and even a delicious cake for us to enjoy. Such a special touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The house itself is stunning — spotless, beautifully decorated, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The peaceful location made it the perfect place to unwind. We loved spending time on the patio, soaking in the scenery, and enjoying relaxed evenings by the fire. The location is ideal too — just a short drive from town, yet far enough to feel like a private retreat. This place truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Very nice and cozy little place although we have missed a microwave in the kitchen. As it is winter it was quite cold because of the beautiful high roof. I will suggest a gas heater or fireplace in the living room area

Julia is a great host, everything was explained well and easy to understand. what a bucket list experience and highly recommend visiting! super close to the waterfront with great restaurants and the mall is close by. secure parking for your car is also available so you don't have to worry. nothing beats waking up to the sunrise on a houseboat! wifi, hot water and all the amenities of a normal house just on the water, so awesome!

What a gem of a place! Waking up to that stunning view and being just a stone’s throw from the lagoon was such a treat. It’s the perfect spot for families with young kids. The house was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped—with a cozy fireplace that made chilly nights extra special. The swimming pool and bikes were a great bonus. Tori was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

This home is absolutely stunning. The towels, decor, bedding and amenities are luxurious and the location cannot be beat. Top it all off with unbelievably kind hosts. Don’t hesitate to book this home. We only hope we can return and stay here again in the future!

What a lovely place! Brenda is a fantastic host, she made us feel right at home; the cottage is comfortable and homely on a wonderfully peaceful farm in the Karoo. Dusty the lab was super friendly and took us on a lovely stroll around the farm which was just what we needed after having spent the day in the car. The braai pack Brenda supplied for our dinner was delicious and we had a lovely evening, enjoying the spectacular sunset and taking in the awe-inspiring night sky of the Karoo.

Such an awesome place. Beautiful location and definitely best suited in summer. The driveway is abit tricky to park so no learner drivers. Caretaker is such a nice guy! See you guys soon

We had a fantastic girls' weekend for the wine festival. Our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy. We shall definitely return!

The house was absolutely fabulous. We were 8 people and the house has plenty is space to comfortably accommodate all of us. It is also tastefully decorated. The neighborhood was completely safe and near many attractions including restaurants. We highly recommend the place and would not hesitate for one minute to book the place again. Beautiful place on the river. The house has everything you need and the complex has good amenities (tennis, squash, swimming pool).

We loved the place, just what we needed and really enjoyed the house and the view. Will definately be back in Summer.
