Monty the mobile home is an absolute delight, nestled in the breathtaking Dorset hills with views that truly capture the very best of the county. The setting is peaceful and beautifully arranged, with every detail thoughtfully considered to enhance your stay. From the flawless directions to the immaculate surroundings, it's clear that great care has gone into creating this special escape. The hosts are exceptional - warm, welcoming, and attentive, with communication that's second to none. We couldn't recommend it more highly — you simply must come and experience it for yourself.

We had a great time here. The location was picturesque and there was plenty to do on our week long stay. The tent was ideal and surprised us with how roomy it was. Check in was easy as in they text to let you know it’s ready and you just turn up at your tent. Each tent has a BBQ kettle, fire pit, two deckchairs and a large beanbag so lounging outside is to be encouraged. The views are great and the animals on site are friendly enough. The only gripe we have (completely not anything the venue can solve) is the Earwigs! They get absolutely everywhere! If you’re going to stay here then be prepared and maybe bring some airtight containers (even then they’d find a way in!). The play barn area and farm activities are spot on and there’s a lot to do to keep you entertained and although you have to pay, if you’re staying on site then it’s pay once and use as many times as you like after. We ate at The Cow twice whilst we were here and the food was great, service was spot on and for a reasonable price as well. We had a great time here and we’ll definitely be making a return visit, albeit we’ll probably try a lodge next time round. Thanks for having us!

Great intro to camping. We had an issue with our own inflatable mattress and asked if they had a spare we could borrow and Sophia responded quickly. The kids loved the friendly cat, great location between Lulworth and Weymouth both 20 mins away, big tesco 15 mins or so in Dorchester if you do forget anything. Campsite was clean, kitchen had plenty of utilities and electricity points for charging stuff. Bell tents are surprisingly spacious for us (5). Will go again and recommend to friends and family

The quality of the accommodation is excellent and of a high standard, with the attention to detail plainly evident. We found all the essentials were supplied, tea, coffee, toiletries etc and a lovely touch. We are a family of six and found the quality of the beds, bedding, shower, towels, kitchen amenities, furnishings superb. The accommodation was roomy and comfortable even when it was chilly outside, with lots of heating options including a log burner to keep warm. We had a lovely 5 day stay in the Kimmeridge bell tent with our 3 children. The kids loved camping, there was plenty of space on the site and they made friends with other children staying. Showers, loos and the kitchen area were well maintained and useful. Location is rural, but there is a nice pub within walking distance and it is a good base the explore Dorset from. Plenty of beaches and towns with things to do nearby. Sophia was very friendly and gave lots of useful tips of places to visit while we were there. A lovely stay and would recommend.

Jo’s place was lovely and peaceful in a fantastic location. We loved feeding the pigs and collecting eggs from the chickens! The tent was clean, comfortable and cosy, we would definitely stay here again.

What a magical place! We stayed with our 8 year old boy and had a wonderful stay. Rachel is very welcoming and has set the place up with of lots of thoughtful touches. The garden is beautiful, close to Ringwood for shops and eating out, and a great base for exploring the New Forest.

We had great few days at Gambledown Farm with the family. We were felt very welcome from day 1 and had a great nature immersed experience even though weather was inclement. Great safari tents with all facilities needed and great hot showers! Thank you

Had the most beautiful trip! Very last minute booking and we couldn’t be any more thankful that Alex let us book with little notice! Absolutely beautiful location and bell tent. The decking area makes it look absolutely stunning also. So much room for the children to run! Alex was super responsive to questions/queries, sadly we didn’t get to physically meet as we missed each other both days. Toilet/shower area was very clean and looked after, so much information in the hut as you enter the site. Everything you could need in the tent, wood, fire lighters, leaflets of surrounding areas/attractions and the site itself. We were very lucky to have the whole site to ourselves for our short stay! Felt even more luxury. We will be back if it’s with the children or without! All the best The Heir Family x

Lindsay was a perfect host, great, clear instructions and came to say hi just after we arrived. The tent was great, spacious and cosy, fully carpetted with fold out beds. There's a small table and chairs outside the front with a firepit. There are logs available to buy, but we bought our own. Perfect for sitting out till late toasting matshmallows. Very simple with no running water, but there are two toilets. It's peaceful, not crowded and back to nature. We were excited to see our first glowworm! The stars were spectacular. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a fantastic weekend stay in Molly! Fabulous wagon with all amenities, great local walks and pubs from the door, and close to everything else Somerset has to offer. Private and quiet space with parking. David was a very friendly and responsive host. Would thoroughly recommend.

The location of the tent was great, very close to the washing up area, the inside of the tent was neat and tidy, well stocked with cookers and spices and even had a cooling box. it was very quiet at night and you could really feel like you were in nature. Would definitely come back and would 100% recommend!

What an amazing stay!! Right from the start Rob met us and made us feel so comfortable, made sure we had anything we needed. Absolutely amazing space for a little get away, will definitely be returning!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. This place was everything we were hoping for, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning scenery and open sky. The sense of seclusion made it feel like our own private retreat, far from other people or campsites, which was exactly what we wanted. The host was kind and responsive, quickly resolving a small issue we encountered. The space was thoughtfully prepared and had everything we needed for a truly unforgettable night. We left with wonderful memories and would love to return whenever we get the chance.

Absolutely beautiful stay, so clean and cozy, having the horses right outside was very special, we loved the wood burner and the fire pit and had great fun in the swimming pool too. The views were incredible and it was so peaceful. The whole holiday was a real treat for us and we can’t wait to come back soon! Linda was really lovely and very helpful. The camp site was perfect for me and my 2 children, the alpaca’s, the goats, the facilities and whole site was amazing, they loved it! Throughout our stay Claire made us feel right at home, and always made sure we had everything we needed! She even took the time to sit down and talk with my 2 sons on multiple occasions about the fossils they found that day 😊

We had an amazing couple of nights camping by the river with nothing but nature for company. Ideal location for exploring local area as easily accessible. Great little heritage railway station nearby, petrol station, pub and co-op all nearby too. Mark was an excellent host with great communication - it’s exactly what it says in tin - wild camping on a PYO farm with a portaloo for facilities. Enjoyed the fire pit and taking home some goodies from the farm. If you want ‘escape from it all’ with some human contact to camp in the countryside then we would 100% recommend. We got to choose where we pitched up and then that was us done. What a fab way to spend a 40th birthday weekend :) Thank you so much for hosting.

We had exclusive use of the glamping site with both adults and young kids and our stay was fantastic. A perfect end to the summer holidays! There are many activities to keep you occupied on site from tennis or swimming or taking the boat out on the lake that besides a few country walks and a pub lunch, we ended up spending most of the 4 days 3 nights staying in. Kate and Pete made sure we had everything we needed and were so warm and welcoming. They even let our kids watch and play with their young ducklings when they took them out to have a bath which was such a treat. A special thank you to them! We would definitely return to The Meadow.

Amazing Stay at Matthew's Shepherd hut in Salisbury! I recently stayed at Matthew's Shepherd in Salisbury, and it was an absolute delight. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the city's attractions. Matthew, the host, was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The Shepherd's hut itself was beautifully designed, combining rustic charm. The outdoor area was serene and peaceful and the dogs loved it! Overall, my experience at Matthew's Shepherd was exceptional. I highly recommend it for a unique and memorable stay in Salisbury!

Incredible space and beautiful surroundings. The drive in felt like an adventure into the woodland and the bird songs to wake up to were stunning. The set up is practical and well thought through.

Our first family camping 🏕️ adventure was a success. This beautiful secluded site has been created with love and some lovely details. Having our own compost loo shed, shower and sink for washing up made life so much easier. The fire pit and bbq were well used and the fairy lights at night made the site look magical. The mattresses were super comfy, and our littlest members both slept really well. Our wellies were really handy for avoiding wet socks and shoes in the dewy mornings and helped protect against ticks. Communication prior to our arrival was great and we managed a slightly earlier check-in. The personal welcome note at the gate and useful info sheet in the tent were really helpful too, as were the in person check-ups. Thank you! We look forward to a future visit.

Had a lovely visit here, lovely location in a peaceful village with a short walk to local pub. Views were so nice especially when sitting out at fire pit and bbq provided by host. Private shower and wash up area were very clean as well as our tent which was ready for us when we arrived, lots of blankets provided for us in case we got cold - we had a good night sleep and woke to gorgeous views in the morning. Will definitely come again.
