“We stayed in The Pod at Chris's place and I would highly recommend it. The Pod was cosy, warm and had everything that we needed. The breakfast was a really nice touch and there was even the option of using the jacuzzi. There is a smart tv in the room so you can watch Netflix, etc. We were able to check into the room ourselves and were left to ourselves but knew Chris was available if we needed anything. I would definitely come back and stay again 😄”
My home is a cosy rural dwelling full of character, just a mile from the busy market town of Cookstown, yet set amongst the foothills of the Sperrin mountains for a taste of country life.
“Wow I booked my stay at Sharon and Arnie's at very short notice and received a very quick response and excellent Directions to get me to them. I was completely blown away by the house which is a wonderful home filled with history, artefacts and a very warm welcome. This house is full of wonderful character, do not expect a sterile magnolia coloured plasterboarded box! The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable, with lovely tasteful furniture. I had a great undisturbed sleep. The shared bathroom included was large, cosy and had a fantastic shower with seemingly plenty of hot water. It was also light and functional with a good mirror (which I appreciate). I only had a short overnight stay (on business), and my only regret was not being able to stay longer (on this ocassion:-) I certainly intend to return with my better half and to explore the area some more. Sharon and Arnie are lovely, friendly hosts who made me feel most welcome and I look forward to seeing them again :-)”
The Byre is an old stone built cattle shed which is converted to an accommodation block with fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms which sleep five, bathroom and living room. It has its own private parking and is well of the main Road with panoramic views of County Antrim .
“Burt was a friendly and helpful host who made our stay very comfortable and made us feel very welcome. The Byre is a lovely space, perfect for exploring the local area and with easy access to the north coast. The fishing facilities on site are excellent and Burt’s dogs, chickens and peacocks often stop by to say hello. Its a lovely place which wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.”
