Naturhaus Altmühltal

Our nature house consists entirely of natural building materials and uses the synergy effects of radiant heat and solar energy. The untreated wood is constructed according to the system of Bio-Solar-Haus, whereby no paint or other preservatives were processed. The solid wood floors throughout the house are oiled. In addition to natural wood such as stone pine and oak, other natural materials such as natural stone from the region (Jura marble) have been processed. The construction of the Bio-Solar house allows a natural air circulation and thus dispenses with the disadvantages of ventilation systems. There are no convection formed due to a built-ceiling and wall radiant heating.Through the house-in-house system (without vapor barrier), the water vapor can diffuse freely to the outside, causing no condensation and mold. Given the low heating energy demand in the house and the use of solar radiation, no fossil fuels are needed. Solar energy is the main energy source, only in winter can be heated if necessary with the wood stove. Service we are happy to bring you fresh, crispy and wholesome bread rolls from a BIO-bakery from our region.

Hofstetten Castle "Bishop Suite"

Here you walk in the footsteps of the builder Johann Euchar Schenk von Castell. History can be experienced up close. All rooms still have the original stucco ceilings from 1694 and some even have the original plank floors from the 17th century. This apartment is housed in the unchanged baroque room sequence with the 300-year-old doors and the equally old door locks and fittings in the approximately 800-year-old Palas of the former medieval moated castle. Very close by are the following tourist attractions: Rosenburg, Plankstetten Monastery, Weltenburg Monastery, Befreiungshalle Kelheim, Danube Gorge and many beautiful hiking trails right at your doorstep. Riedenburg offers shopping facilities such as a bakery, butcher, restaurants and cafes and is about 3 km away.

In an absolutely secluded location, surrounded by the nature of the Altmühl Valley, you will find peace and quiet here. The park-like garden with terrace invites you to linger. The Schlössl is also the starting point for various cycling and hiking trails.

The apartment is situated in a quiet neighborhood about 2 kilometers from the city center of Regensburg. The beautiful historical old part of the city can best be reached by bus (3 bus lines headed for the city are only a couple of minutes from the apartment). Regensburg university is a fifteen minute walk away. The apartment features a fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom. The fridge has a freezing compartment, WiFi and a TV are included.

The apartment with a spacious balcony was newly built in 2018 in the center of the village, is accessible by elevator and is located on the upper floor. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. There are also 2 sofa beds in the living/dining area. We provide towels and bed linens for your stay. The car can be parked in the carport next to the house. For bicycles, there is a separate lockable storage room.

Wellness chalet on 73 m² with its own wellness equipment. A Finnish sauna, hot tub and a crackling fireplace provide quiet, relaxing moments. Outside, you can enjoy your first coffee or wine in the evening in comfort on the large balcony or terrace.

We want to create a positive holiday memory for our guests. The apartment includes the entire ground floor of a renovated historic building in the middle of our small old town and yet remote and quiet. A large green courtyard invites you to relax. On the other hand, you can start cycling and walking directly at the door. Our town is part of the Altmühltal Nature Park. There are bakers and shopping, all within walking distance.

Good parking at the house. 12 kilometers from the A 9 exit Allersberg. To Rothsee 12 Km RMD canal 4.5 Km Good shopping facilities 600 meters away (bakery, butcher, supermarkets). Very nice marketplace with good restaurants 500 meters away.

Light and air - Artist's house for nature lovers

This unique place has a style all its own. We wanted wanted to make something attractive out of the old, dilapidated building from the 1950s. Above all, the large garden with old trees and the beautiful location near Regensburg motivated us to redesign the house individually on the old foundation walls.
