We had a wonderful stay at this very cute, charming, and peaceful cabin nestled in the heart of Idyllwild. The location was perfect — just a short walk to town, yet it still felt tucked away and off the grid, offering plenty of peace and quiet. The cabin was cozy and thoughtfully decorated, with all the comforts we needed for a relaxing mountain getaway. We especially loved how close it was to some of the best hiking trails in the area, making it easy to explore the outdoors without much driving. Whether you're looking to unwind or adventure, this cabin strikes the perfect balance. We would absolutely book again!

Mathilde & Rudy's place was SPECTACULAR. The house was located on a very private road and was incredibly peaceful. It was such an amazing experience relaxing in the hot tub with the milky way right above us! The hammock was also perfectly placed. The house was super cute, nicely decorated, and very clean. I would definitely use the Waze app when navigating the neighborhood, though, because the directions were more straight forward than google maps. If you are thinking about booking here just do it!

This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! My girlfriend and I stayed at Tamara’s place and absolutely loved it. Everything was super clean, and the space was thoughtfully designed. Be sure to make time to enjoy the amenities—we especially loved the cowboy pool, the spa, and the beautiful outdoor area. You can tell that Tamara put a lot of care into the decoration and layout. Outside, we appreciated the shade provided by the plants and trees, which made the space feel peaceful and private. The pond was a beautiful touch, and we enjoyed watching birds stop by for a drink.The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals. There’s AC in both the master bedroom and the living room, which kept the house cool and comfortable. Our favorite spot was the sunroom, along with all the charming vintage details throughout the home. Tamara was a fantastic host—very accommodating and even let us check in early. We definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Joshua Tree!

Sarah's place is truly magical, an incredible host who has thoughtfully curated every single detail to create the perfect retreat. From the moment we arrived, we felt the intentionality in every aspect, designed specifically to help guests disconnect from the chaos and reconnect deeply within themselves. We loved the deliberate absence of a TV, which encouraged us to immerse ourselves fully in the unique environment Sarah has lovingly cultivated. One of our favorite experiences was feeding the abundant wildlife, bunnies, roadrunners, birds, and chipmunks. It genuinely felt like stepping into a Disney movie! Sarah has created an extraordinary ecosystem that is vibrant, nurturing, and enchanting. This is not your typical modern stay devoid of character; this is a soulful space overflowing with heart and purpose. We wholeheartedly recommend Sarah's place to anyone seeking a meaningful getaway. Our family loved staying in the little A Frame! Lots of homey touches & natural decor that was practical and yet beautiful. The town is walkable from the home. Very peaceful location! Host is very responsive. (People with mobility issues would have a hard time with the stairs).

We needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, and this house was the just the answer. Quiet, private, and our dog Luna loved the yard.

My husband and I just spent a fantastic Father's Day weekend at Lauren's house. The home is charming, decorated with comfort in mind and has all the extra details that really make a vacation home special. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked, including welcome treats, and while we didn't have little ones, there's plenty for them to do, such as games, painting, and books. For adults, there are other games, a hot tub and a great little downtown area with shops and restaurants not far away. It was so peaceful and the weather was great while we were there. Our dogs loved the fenced-in area and wandering on a leash on the unfenced part of the grounds. Lauren, the host, was very responsive and flexible with checkout. I highly recommend and hope to return!

This place is thoughtfully put together with design in mind, a real gem. The cabin has plenty of activities you can do inside and it is so close to the park! The record player was a lot of fun and there are a lot of vinyls to choose from. Also, gorgeous views for sunset and sunrise. Jenn’s instructions and communication was helpful and much appreciated. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely place to stay!! Clean and peaceful, beautiful kitchen with everything you need to cook. Hammock outside of the main bedroom is perfect for stargazing. Short drive into town for cute shops and groceries.

This is our second time staying at Lauren's cabin. This place is not your typical rental, it's homey, it's special. From the decor, the comfy furniture, the setting, the deck, the well-stocked kitchen, Cedar Rock has it all. We love how close it is to town for exploring the shops or a meal out. Our pup especially appreciated the fenced in backyard. The cabin is super clean and Lauren is very responsive. Until next time...

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

Erin's place was absolutely beautiful. So much thoughtful attention to detail and cute little spots to discover while walking around the property. I loved the boat for stargazing and reading during the day (everyone should have an outdoor bed!), the kitchen was incredibly well stocked, the space was comfortable and cute. Erin was communicative and answered any questions I had promptly. Overall, so lovely!

A stunning, stylish home. We were specifically looking for a place without a hot tub to avoid chlorine, and the beautiful soaking tubs here were a total gem. The location was fantastic — it feels wonderfully secluded, yet local cafés and shops are just minutes away. We absolutely loved our stay and truly regretted not booking for longer.

Casa Flamingo was great! The pictures don’t do the space justice; I walked around for the first 10 minutes exclaiming “THIS IS SO CUTE!” The outdoor spaces are great and offer a variety of options to view the surroundings and stars. The interior has so many amazing windows you barely feel like you’re inside. The space feels more spacious than the pictures suggest; my 6’5” partner didn’t feel cramped at all. The house is easy to locate, and is a close and easy drive from much of what Joshua Tree has to offer. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Wavy Pines cabin. We were so happy to find a pet-friendly home that we could bring our whippet to share the fun with. Our dog had a blast going up and down the stairs and exploring all the smells outside and experiencing his first snow! The neighborhood was so serene and quiet, we felt so relaxed and it was an easy, short walk to a national forest trail that our dog also enjoyed very much. The town is only a few mins drive away which had restaurants and grocery stores so we were short of nothing during our stay. We look forward to staying again during our next trip to Idyllwild someday!

We had an awesome weekend. The cabin was very clean and it was very peaceful. It was wonderful to find a place that had a fenced in yard for the pups to run around. We cooked most meals there and the kitchen was well equipped. Thank you for sharing!
