Kiddville Vacation Home

JedidiahRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This was a great location for our family, and the history posted around the house and property was wonderful. The house is older, but that didn't bother us. We loved our walks in the woods, peaceful views of wildlife, and privacy. The location was not far from downtown Custer and not far from many other vacation hot spots. The house has ample WiFi for all your electronic needs. Overall a great place to stay!

Modern Lodge: Hottub + Huge Space + Views + Sauna

KatieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a nice place to stay for our group of 17, Trystin was friendly and responsive, we did end up finding that we could have used more towels for our big group, so may be good to bring extras if you also have a big group. The kids loved the hot tub and we had a bonfire 2 of the nights, lovely - lovely setting with views of water, trees, and the cathedral spires, gorgeous patio with table, it was a great home base for our days exploring the Black Hills. Thanks so much for the stay!!

Walt's Retreat

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Walt's Retreat was very easy to find and check in. The home was extremely clean and clutter free with plenty of plates, glasses, pots and silverware so we had everything we needed. The location is close to town but is very private with lots of acreage and a huge yard that has a tire swing my granddaughters loved. Shana was accessible, helpful and the perfect host. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed 3 nights to explore the Black Hills area. This home was very spacious and close to Custer State Park. Michelle gave many recommendations for activities and restaurants in her guidebook.

The place is free from the hustle and bustle of a street life. It’s quiet, very peaceful and lots of trees for fresh air. The kitchen is clean and fully equipped. The rooms are spacious with heater and aircon. The check in is so easy. The host is very friendly. It is near the tourist spots. We enjoyed our 4 nights stay and I will highly recommend this place to my friends.

French Creek Farm

NathanRating, 5 stars6 days ago
If you’re looking for a private getaway that’s still close to the big attractions in the Black Hills, this is the place. It’s totally private and the home is very spacious. The deck is awesome with a great view of the valley. The kitchen is massive and the best stocked I’ve seen. The house has plenty of games and activities for all ages. We were very impressed overall and would absolutely stay again. It was clean and the level of communication was awesome. If you’re reading this, stop scrolling and book this place; you won’t regret it!

Large Retreat*Mountain Views*Close to Custer

AshlynneRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Great stay! Secluded feel while being just a couple minutes from Custer. Huge place with lots of space to spread out. Great central location for hitting different spots in the Black Hills. We brought our two large dogs and they had plenty of yard space in the front and back. Amazing views from the front porch and we had a great time hanging around the propane fire pit on the back porch. Saw tons of deer and turkey in the yard. Would definitely recommend.

Cathedral Spires Cabin | Close to BH attractions!

BrookeRating, 5 stars24 months ago
I can't say enough good things about our stay! The campground was in a great location, not far from Custer State Park and other fun activities, but still felt private. The cabin was adorable! Clean, modern, cutely decorated. We had a family of 5 and felt the space was a perfect size. The kitchen was clean and we'll equipped and we used the grill frequently. We enjoyed the outdoor space - the deck was beautiful. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Pool water was surprisingly warm. I have nothing bad to say and would return again!

Dog-friendly 3BR house with swimming pool access!

KristineRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We enjoyed our stay. The host are very responsive if you have any issues. It is very quiet and private. Beautiful deck and lots of space. There were a few little things like the grill was very dirty, the dishwasher was broken and hard to make work, one pull out couch is broken and there was damage to some of the other furniture etc. However, none of it really affected our stay. The driveway is steep and there isn't a lot of yard space, but the home is very large and well stocked with what you need. The Wi-Fi was amazingly fast. There was soap/shampoo etc. in each bathroom, laundry soap, dishsoap, cleaning supplies, spices, coffee etc. The location is on a gravel road and is very close to Custer and pretty centrally located for the area. It was nice to have access to the KOA pools etc. There were two large TV's, a Fooseball table, a full wet bar/kitchen downstairs and an amazing spa tub room. Also, stero through the home and deck. We would definitely recommend the property!

Dwntwn Custer Farmhouse on Main St. with Hot Tub

JamesRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We really enjoyed or stay at Sarah's Airbnb. Everything you need is within walking distance, which was quite enjoyable. Although, it is on the edge of downtown, we had no issue with road noise, which was nice relative to the location. There is a grocery store across the street, so it was easy to walk over and buy food to prepare in the well equipped kitchen. The Pizza Mill restaurant was also across the street and there pizzas were outstanding. I would highly recommend this impendent and locally owned business. We also walked a block to breakfast one morning and ate at the Our Place restaurant. This locally owned breakfast diner was also a gem and had a wonderful hometown atmosphere. Further down the main street were several other shops and places to eat. The only negative issue with Sarah's pace was the narrow, steep, and winding stairwell to the second floor. None of our group over 50 felt comfortable staying upstairs. All and all a good stay.

Black Elk Peak Cabin | Minutes from Attractions!

AndrewRating, 5 stars23 months ago
We loved this campground. It was very quiet and peaceful at night. Tons to do during the day in the surrounding area. We explored Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, took the 1880 Train from Keystone to Hill City, and lots more in the area. It’s all easily accessible from the camp. In the evening, the kids enjoyed swimming at the pool while my wife and I relaxed. The cabin itself was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of amenities. And the staff at Buffalo Ridge were nice phenomenal. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend it to others.

Storm Mountain | Modern Wedge Cabin Black Hills

KatieRating, 5 stars23 months ago
Buffalo Ridge was our final stop on our Yellowstone adventure heading back home. Every place we stayed was unique, but Custer's Buffalo Ridge was our favorite. We will be coming back for sure! This place exceeded all others that we have tried in The Hills over the years.

ACE HIGH STAGE camper @ redblue

JanRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We were biking the Mickelson trail and this was perfectly located to break up the long stretch between Hill City and Edgemont. Lovely view, sky full of stars, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It's a camper, so low-frills, but comfortable and exactly as described.

NEW! Buffalo Dreams Cabin at Dakota Dream B&B

ToniRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We just completed our four night stay and it was absolutely wonderful. We were pulling a trailer with two motorcycles so we needed to find a place to stay which could accommodate our trailer. Mackenzie’s place was perfect! It was just a little ways out of town, but so quiet and peaceful. The place was stocked with dishes, microwave, mini fridge, etc - but the fridge was the only thing we used. The bed was comfortable. We opened windows at night and it was really cool and comfortable. Our entire trip was perfect, until five minutes before we were ready to leave this morning at 6a and my boyfriend locked the keys in the car. I would absolutely book Mackenzie’s place again if we return to the area!!

Little Joy: Needle Spire Views + Sauna + Wildlife

ZackaryRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our stay was amazing, amazing views and in a great spot in relation to cathedral spires highway, mt Rushmore, and many hiking trails. The home was clean and very easy to find and access. There are limited kitchen supplies and it would have been nice if tin foil (for grilling) or food containers were provided but other than that the stay was great!
