Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Quite possibly the easiest air bnb to check into, absolutely immaculate and amazing location with the most stunning views!! Will 100% be returning!

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

Leonys house is exactly ideal for our needs. Walkable to the town. Also not far in the car to wonderful countryside .The bath is a true pleasure. The place very tastefully decorated and clean. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Perfect stay for our recent trip to the Lake District for a charity walk. Fantastic stay with beautiful views. Well equipped and clean. Very happy staying here with our toddler and Fiona and Mark were quick to respond to any queries we had. Our little one loved watching the red squirrels, lambs and sheep at breakfast and visiting the alpacas.

A beautiful location with easy access to the lake. Fabulous to swim and walk directly from the property with no need to get in your car. The sauna was a wonderful addition to warm up after our cold water swimming . A warm welcome with the nice basket of local product . Thank you Tina

Good location just outside Keswick, perfect with a car to visit various walking spots, lakes and close to Keswick. Lovely, clean and very practical place to stay, recommend the place to stay as a base to visit the lake district. Perfect for couples looking forward to weekend away as it is great value for money.

We are just back from staying at Mire House celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage is superb, so peaceful, stunning scenery and a great location for going into Keswick. There was a lovely welcome basket on arrival, the place was spotless and we could enjoy our stay from the second we got there.

Thank you for a brilliant stay! 6 of us stayed as we were competing in a fitness competition in Ullswater and the location was perfect. Close to shops so we were able to buy all the stuff we needed to cook and make full use of the facilities. The games room was good fun! Incredible views, especially at sunset and sunrise. The house was beautiful and looked after so well with everything we needed. We hope to be back same time next year!!

We had a great stay and would love to return one day. We went as a family of 4 - with our 17 & 19 year old sons and all really enjoyed the holiday cottage. The stand out 'wow' is the beautiful garden that leads down to the river at the bottom....a very rare find. The cottage is in the heart of the village, so there's easy access to small shops and variety of pubs to eat in. We had mixed weather and so enjoyed local walks but were glad of the log burner and heating to warm up at the end of the day. There's still a beautiful view of the garden even if it's raining. The cottage was well equipped and homely - it was much lighter and brighter inside than we'd thought it would be. Great stay - Thank you.

I had a fantastic stay at Claire and Stefans place in Bassenthwaite. The Cottage was really comfortable and had everything you needed for either a long or short stay. The location was fantastic, with multiple walks and local villages. I would highly recommend a visit to Chapel House Mews 🙂

Pat and Neil are incredible hosts and continue to make you feel at home, with everything and more you could ever need, to feel relaxed and at home. beautiful gardens to explore, sit with a book, or chill with a glass of wine watching the sun set. it's an absolute privilege to be welcome back. thank you for having us xx
