Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Cumberland County

Black Spruce lane has everything that any group would want for a stay - rain or shine. The house is perfect for a family, couples trip, or group of friends. Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Ping Pong, Games, Chefs kitchen, you name it, this place has it all! The house exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 12, and everyone had more than enough room and slept comfortably. The location was a perfect central hub to golf a couple rounds at Northumberland Links. The house is very well laid out for when you want some quiet time. Thank you for the great stay, welcoming us into your home, and accommodating our group, George. 10/10. Cheers!

This was a truly fabulous place -- my only regret was not staying longer. We found this listing after planning a trip to Five Islands Provincial Park, as part of a larger road trip around Nova Scotia. Had we known just how wonderful and peaceful the property and area were, we would have stayed longer and used the spot as a bit of a "home base" to do some more exploring around the region. The house is beautiful, and Jennifer and Barclay are really working to create a wonderful small vacation community, with a few other rental units on the property. Jennifer warmly welcomed us on arrival and gave us some local recommendations. The Five Islands Lighthouse Park, which is a 5-minute walk from the unit, is a fabulous place to watch the tide go in and out, and the surrounding residential community feels very warm and welcoming.

Isabelle’s house was amazing. Quiet, gorgeous sunsets and peaceful surroundings. Isabelle was a fantastic host who responded to our every question within minutes! Pleasant, polite & super friendly, it was a pleasure dealing with her! The house was the best stocked house I have ever rented. Every time we looked for something, there it was. The games room downstairs was so much fun! We played pool and darts as a family and had many laughs! I would recommend this beautiful house without hesitation. Isabelle made us feel so welcome! Jamanda sets the bar when it comes to Air BNB. Her properties exceed expectations time and time again. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. When you stay, you want for nothing. Everything you’d expect at home is there and available.

Paula and Douglas thought of everything with their property. Everything that you would need for a stay was there and more. House was absolutely pristine, beautiful furniture, perfect decor, wonderful views. They have made this house a fantastic home. Thank you for making our couple of days incredible. We loved this AirBnB! It is comfortable, cozy, and feel right at home. We chose it for the location, and our hosts were very helpful. They provided detailed instructions ahead of time, and updated promptly when changes are anticipated. When I realized I forgot to bring a hairdryer, they dug around their home to find one for me. The home had amenities that were very enjoyable and helpful like the laundry options, and the outdoor porch was nice for some fresh air. We'll definitely be back next time we visit!

We loved Janine’s place overlooking the bay, even with cloudy weather it was a gorgeous view to wake up to. We had no trouble finding the place and getting in and felt comfortable in the apartment right away, we also felt safer knowing Janine was nearby if we needed anything - though the apartment had everything we needed and more! It was so nice being surrounded by nature and seeing the swallows nesting, red wing blackbirds snacking, and even a hawk circling over the trees. Close to town with the restaurants and Farmer’s Market on Saturday, but still a quiet area with almost no one around other than the locals. We also really enjoyed our Tidal Bay from nearby Jost vineyard - coincidentally one of my favourites! We were able to barbecue and make a fully locally sourced meal, and the bed was so comfortable. Thanks again Janine, we loved seeing you two working hard on the farm, we’ll be back!

Nice unit facing the eastern part of the bay. 2 minute drive to Hopewell Rocks. Wendy was very informative. Alma is a great location for restaurants in the area.

Mark’s place is very good and has a beautiful view of farms. He has ensured there is good privacy for the guests. There is bbq and campfire right next to the place. Overall it is a very good experience and would define recommend his place

Great place, great stay - would return. I was in for a quick night and was able to get there in time to fish off the beach and managed to catch a few striped bass. Very nice place.

The views here are stunning. If you’re looking for an extremely private, cozy retreat to unplug this is the place.

We were looking for a quiet relaxing getaway to be surrounded by nature. This place fit the bill perfectly. Standing on the front deck you hear nothing but birds and wind in the trees. You have a spectacular view of the ocean and there is very little traffic on the road (maybe 1 car every hour or 2) it's a small cabin that's exactly big enough to provide everything you need to be comfortable. I wish that I had spent a few more days there.

Amanda and Jason are great hosts. Their little cabin in the woods was just what we needed for a relaxing night away. The treats were unexpected, her wine was delicious and fresh eggs for breakfast was the cherry on top. If you love nature farm animals and somewhere peaceful to unwind this little cabin is the answer. Definitely recommend.

Fun rustic cottage with a wood stove. Loved spending time with friends by the fire. Host was well prepared, communicated clearly and quickly. Everything we saw in photos was accurate. Pleased with our choice and would go again for sure.

We brought the folding chairs down to the river and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. My 12 year old son LOVED adventuring along the riverbed. We will certainly be back.

My family had a lovely stay in a cottage on the property - we enjoyed every minute of it! Family-friendly, quiet and right in the middle of a spectacular stretch of coastline. It was everything we were looking for! Tracy is an excellent host and responded very quickly to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

We had the best time at Rolf’s place! The cottage is beautiful, and the surrounding lake and forest were very peaceful. The hot tub and screened in porch were amazing, we spent most of our time there. Rolf was very responsive to messages, and an all around great host. We’ve already booked another trip back!

The property itself is cozy, charming, and wonderfully private—perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. We especially enjoyed the wood-fired sauna and hot tub, which added a unique and rustic touch to the experience. The wood-fired pizza oven was another highlight—easily some of the best pizza we’ve ever made! We highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future.
