We loved the cottage—it’s just a few minutes’ walk from a beautiful beach. The area is quiet, easy to reach, and perfect for a relaxing stay. The house itself is fully equipped, cozy, spacious, and warm, with stunning views from the windows. It’s ideal for family trips. We were pleasantly surprised to find some basic food items in the fridge—perfect for anyone arriving without groceries, it was still a very thoughtful touch. The bathroom was well stocked with shower products, soap, lots of toilet paper, and plenty of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed, with a wide range of equipment. The living room has a fireplace, which we enjoyed lighting in the evening—it added a really cosy atmosphere. We were provided with plenty of firewood and briquettes to use.On the day of our arrival, a wooden bench was delivered for the garden, which allowed us to relax outside. Beautiful place, we definitely recommend it.

5 Crulivig is situated in the most idyllic of locations - nestled beside serene Loch Barraglom, surrounded by the wonderfully wild colour pallette of ochres, slate blues & hazey purples of the surrounding moorland. Together with all the animal wildlife, it makes 5 Crulivig an absolutely stunning place to be! The cottage itself is very well appointed, immaculately clean and delightfully cozy - just the ticket! Both John & Dolina were very friendly, generous and always on hand to answer any queries. All in all, 5 Crulivig is a fabulous spot from where to go on to explore the rest of the wonderful Western Isles.

Our first stay at Herons View Pod was truly magical. The views were breathtaking, the pod was cozy and beautifully designed, and every moment felt peaceful and special. Thank you for such a memorable experience—we can't wait to return!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The home was clean and comfortable with plenty of storage and everything we needed in the kitchen. TV had YouTube, iPlayer etc which we appreciated. Location was incredibly convenient right next to a big Co-op and a petrol station for supplies, and walkable to everywhere in Stornoway. Friendly neighbours around too. Thank you!
