Cottage holiday rentals in Crooked Lake

The cottage was beautiful, and though there was a little bit of miscommunication, Tim and Kate went above and beyond to come up with a solution for us! We would definitely consider staying again when it's warmer out!

We had a great stay! Our plan was to lie low for a long weekend and this was the perfect place to do that. The kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was amazing and the lake was so peaceful. Bonus that my dog was able to join us too!

Very clean, peaceful, beautiful place. A bit small for our family of 6, but perfect for a short stay, landing place if planning to be out a lot, or for a smaller family. Nice back yard area and hot tub. Kayaks were a wonderful treat. We saw a muskrat, turtles, and other wildlife.

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Gary’s place. The lake, the pontoon, paddle boards and pedal boat were used daily. It is private and quiet. There are plenty of life vests and even some large inner tubes you can take out on the water. The floating dock and lily pad were covered in goose poop while we were there so we didn’t use them. The house was comfortable and had more amenities than most air BNBs we’ve stayed at. Our favorite spot (besides being on the water) was drinking coffee and reading on the covered porch! Would recommend to families!!

Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of incredible. The hosts went above and beyond to support our family during one of the most exciting and emotional times in our lives—the arrival of our child through adoption. With so many unknowns in our journey, they moved mountains to accommodate us, ensuring we had a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay, even with our shifting timelines and unique requests. The home itself is absolutely stunning—everything is brand new, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was such a treat. From the thoughtful design to the cozy atmosphere, every detail made our stay feel effortless and peaceful. We are already dreaming of returning in the summer to soak in the lake vibes and energy of Nettle Lake. We are beyond grateful for this experience and for the kindness and generosity of our hosts. If you're looking for a five-star stay with truly exceptional hospitality, this is the place! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Great little place near the lake! Very clean and I loved the modern decor; there is a lot of attention to detail. Great kitchen and we appreciated the Keurig coffee and complimentary bottle of wine. Beds were comfortable, linens were fresh!

Wonderful stay. The house was well stocked and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The lot is very large with plenty of space for yard games and activities. Would 100% look for availability here, if we were staying in the area in the future.

What a nice, peaceful retreat to return to after a jam packed softball weekend! Super clean and very responsive hosts. We had a small issue and it was handled immediately. We would love to return someday! Thank you for sharing this cute little piece of paradise with us!

We were in Hillsdale for work and it was so nice to come home to this quiet cabin by the lake. We were able to cook our own meals and relax with the beautiful sunsets most evenings. Very much appreciate finding such a beautiful place that's also pet friendly. The neighborhood felt safe and the neighbors were all very friendly. The kitchen is very well-equipped. Beds are comfortable with individual AC units in each room. Akrum was very responsive to messages and access was very easy. We will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Catfish Cottage was more than advertised because of the beautiful outdoor area with lake access. We immediately requested two additional nights after arrival and were thrilled to be able to book them. The two decks with ample seating plus the lower patio in the yard provided so much space to enjoy. We used the charcoal grill and outdoor fire pit. The cottage is very comfortable for four adults and we liked having the separation of upstairs and downstairs bedrooms. The beds are comfortable with plenty of extra blankets provided. The hosts who live next door were nice enough to come say hello on our last day. We enjoyed hearing about the history of their property and how Catfish Cottage came to be! Recommendations for the area: We rented a pontoon boat for the whole day which was located just down the road and already in the water. Definitely recommend the Back Roads Tavern located one mile from the cottage for eating out option.

We had such a phenomenal time at the cottage. The family that owns the place is incredibly kind and welcoming. Truly made us feel at home and it’s an incredible location for a small get away. We’re very appreciative of the hospitality and opening their home

this place was very quaint. very clean. Lake was snowy and frozen but beautiful! the indoor porch my favorite! easy check in and easy check out instructions, owner extremely nice. couldn't ask for a better stay! shipshewana only 15 mins away, a MUST SEE. Will be back when weather is better! Thank you for a great stay!
