Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Cowlitz River

Beautiful location! We had a great time 😊

We loved this place! Very quiet with many amenities. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cookware, and also some snacks and basic cooking ingredients. The place was spotless and well decorated. The yard and fire pit were great features. There are a lot of games, puzzles, and DVDs for indoor entertainment. The tap water is “hard” but tastes fine. That is to be expected for a more remote location. This is a manufactured home and it has been taken care of well and updated recently. Lake Merwin is a short walk down the hill and is lovely. We were very comfortable at this house and would stay again!

We had such a beautiful stay at this Airbnb! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they’ve put a lot of heart and effort into creating a true oasis. It felt like the perfect escape — peaceful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed in every detail. The home is tucked away in a charming neighborhood with lots of nearby shops, cafes, and things to do, and it’s just a short drive to Portland, which made exploring super convenient. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

I can’t say enough positive things about Michael and Jennifer’s home. It’s rare to find an Airbnb that exceeds expectations, and this one absolutely does! Beautiful home, gorgeous scenery. Exceptionally well stocked, especially in the kitchen. The hot tub was a huge hit for sunrises and late night star watching. The outdoor “toy” trailer with bikes, kayaks, etc was incredible and had something for everyone. They even had seasonally decorated for the fall season. This was such a special stay, one that we will remember for a lifetime. Thank you!

The home is lovely and private, with great amenities and I loved the private patio in the garden. Very comfortable bed, quiet and close to the Kenton neighborhood. The hot tub is a great bonus!

Cozy cabin in a gorgeous peaceful location. Everything we needed was there, including a pre-laid fire! The views were gorgeous and made for the perfect get-away!

A+! Peaceful with a fantastic view across the Gorge and only 5 min to restaurants, brewery, and grocery store. Our hosts stocked the essentials (coffee, basic cooking foodstuffs, toiletries) so there was no need for a rushed shopping trip on arrival. Great information on everything to do in the area and friendly, responsive hosts. Will be our go to ABNB in the Gorge/Colombia River area when we come back.

My daughter and I booked a short trip to Portland and enjoyed our stay at Jim’s home. He described his space well, so we knew what to expect. It was clean and well stocked. Check in was easy and he communicated quickly. I loved that the location was within walking distance to Overland Park, the Mississippi neighborhood, and a quick drive to Alberta Street and the freeways. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend!

What a peaceful, beautiful, quiet place to stay and relax. The views are just lovely, the place very comfortable, and the two dogs that great you are so friendly and cute! There were even horses out the window.

Beautiful, relaxing, comfortable home/apt in the most stunning neighborhood! We enjoyed our afternoon walks and wish we would have stayed there the entire week we were in Portland. Just one note, if you are sensitive to light for sleep, bring an eye mask but besides that it's a 10!

My 2nd time staying. It’s a sweet little home base for when I visit Portland for trainings. Safe neighborhood with some good hiking real close!

We enjoyed our time at Russell's. We had a full itinerary for our trip so we spent the majority of our time out, however, Russell's place was conveniently located in between many of our stops. Thank you for hosting us Rusell!

This has now turned into an annual get away for us & we couldn’t be happier! We absolutely LOVE staying at Madalyn’s cabin in Ariel! It’s one of the most peaceful, beautiful places we’ve found yet! So close to where we love to fish, we really couldn’t ask for a better spot! The fire pit & outside picnic table area is always a hit amongst our group of friends that join us. Everyone agrees that this is on the top of our list to repeat annually! We will surely be looking forward to next year’s trip to the lake! Thank you again for the wonderful stay yet again! The description and pictures did not do justice to the location and ambiance of this property. Absolutely a magical place with acreage and right on the Little Kalama river. Multiple places to sit and observe the beauty of the property. For a pet friendly property it was very clean as well. The good sized kitchen had everything we needed for the four of us. The yard is not completely fenced in the back but is bordered by the river and wooded area on both sides and gated and fenced in the front. There was no problem worrying about the dog running off but we kept him sight to make sure he did not get into mischief. The only issue really, was the screen doors were all not functioning properly which detracted from our ability to listen to the river while dining and relaxing in the house. We recommend this property and will hopefully be able to return!

What a beautiful and well thought out place! Abundance of everything you would need for an overnight stay and a god send if you forgot any of your toiletries. Beautiful views, amazingly stocked kitchen and just tastefully decorated. Carrie paid attention to all the details! Our girls weekend was perfect @ The Lookout!

This review is about Keith. We never made it to his gorgeous appearing place because two family members were so ill during our family vacation. (I had to complete all the star ratings to get to this comment box.) Yet, Keith connected with compassion, understanding, and generosity of spirit. We hope to rebook with him at some future date.

My partner and I just got engaged and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to stay and celebrate. This beautiful log cabin is filled with specially curated park ranger and Boy Scout antiques. We loved looking through all the decor. There was also a fun coffee station with Girl Scout cookie themed sweeteners and fresh coffee beans. The fire pit was great and the jacuzzi was on and warm the moment we arrived. The hosts sent clear and helpful instructions. They were also quick to respond in the chat if we had any comments or questions. Plus, the cabin is a great location - only a short drive from the entrance of the national park. We can’t recommend this place enough.
