I stayed at Ely’s place for a month, and it matched the listing description perfectly. Ely was friendly, responsive, and accommodating throughout my stay. For travelers seeking a convenient location in San Diego, look no further. The trolley station is just a 5-minute walk away, the airport is 20 minutes by car, and numerous restaurants and supermarkets are within two miles. This spot is ideal for business travelers who plan to be out most of the day and need a simple, comfortable base to return to in the evenings. That said, if you’re working remotely full-time, be aware there’s no dedicated desk. The dining chair or sofa can become uncomfortable for prolonged laptop use. While the space felt a bit compact for an extended stay (a purely personal observation), this was amplified by my unique circumstances—I remained indoors most of the month working from my laptop within the unit. To say Randy and his wife are super-hosts is very accurate. Randy responded almost immediately to every question and offered assistance but didn't hover over me at all. They followed my lead on how interactive I wanted to be. They have meticulously refurbished and remodeled every inch of the living quarters. Everything seemed brand new and every thing you might possibly need was provided. Even the decor was great. It truly felt like I was at home. If there are any short comings, like the steep hill, they were things out of their control. I want to emphasize that for the price, you cannot get a better value. Great people, great place.
