Chalet holiday rentals in Connecticut River

very nice experience at the cottage - kids liked it and we had lots of games and puzzles to do on a rainy day. interior stair will be remebered :) saw lots of deer and two wild turkeys every day on the gravel road to keep in mind when driving. ski is few minutes alway with a car. most of the close by restaurants (30min away) open after thursdays, so we were goint at the owls head hotel restaurant- not bad but need reservation on a busy days. overall excelent 5 day ski vacation. kuddos to the owner.

We had the most amazing weekend at Camp Shady with our family. The space was perfect for our family and the cabin was clean with all of the essentials. The mill creek in the back yard and the entire yard space was amazing. We grilled burgers over the fire pit and fished in the creek for trout. My kids loved the playhouse! Mark was so helpful and accommodating and flexible for our one night stay. I want to go back next weekend! 🤣

We had the most beautiful stay at the school house. You can tell the hosts put a lot of love into the place, there were so many little details to discover. The wood fire and the view onto the maple forest made for a very relaxing weekend. I am making plans to return to experience it in the summer too! Thank you Isabelle!

We had a super stay! The house is very well laid out and everything was there for us!!

Mary was a super good hostess and she even left us a welcome basket full of goodies including Bogle red wine (cabernet), coffee, and other treats plus homebred brownies in the fridge! We loved the chalet and the beauty of it inside and out with the greenery of the forest and the brook which our dog, Beau, got right into it and loved it! We all enjoyed the area and the cozy home with the room to spread out and hear the rain as we were snug inside. The bed we chose to sleep in was comfy and warm and I (Carolyn) loved having coffee on the deck of a morning with Beau. We enjoyed our long walks down the road and the town of Dover was fun to visit as well as the beautiful wedding we attended over Wilmington not far away. It was a wonderful stay and we certainly love Vermont! This was our 4th stay in Vermont between the years of 2004 - now. Our first "Dog Vacation" took us to Brattleboro, Middlebury, Willoughvale with Lake Willoughby, and last summer to White River Junction and Barre. Fun!

We’ve been staying at Mark‘s place for years. It’s our favorite winter vacation spot. This winter was the best we’ve ever had for skiing. There was tons of snow. We all just love it here and hope to continue the tradition in years to come 🌲☃️❄️

Jonathan's place was just what we needed for a short getaway! It was very cute and comfortable. We also enjoyed Mansonville and the hiking trails nearby. We'd be happy to stay here again.

We had a perfect stay at Jennie’s place! It was very clean, there were toys and games for the kids, clean instructions for everything, we LOVED the outside area with projector and fire pit! We can’t wait to visit again.

It was remote compared to the graduation we were attending in the area but we all felt worth the distance. Very comfortable, incredibly clean, well designed house. We had freezing weather so were not able to use the deck or fire pit area. Thank you, Michelle!

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend at Edward’s place in the Catskills. The home is an architectural gem—beautiful, relaxing, and perfectly immersed in nature. It’s in a great location near restaurants and hiking, and also worked really well for a remote work day. Edward was incredibly helpful and responsive, and our whole family—from kids to grandparents—had a fantastic time.

The photos don’t even begin to do this place justice! There’s so much beautiful greenery and places to safely wander with friends on the property. There’s a few sweet towns and spots to check out nearby as well. We had a great time with the treehouse and enjoyed the beautiful backyard. It rained a few days we were staying, but the house was perfectly cozy for us and it didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything. This place is amazing!

Caroline was an excellent host. She was always quick to respond to my messages, and always able to assist in answering questions. The home was so beautiful and comfortable right from the get go! I would definitely go back!

My girlfriends and I came here for a weekend (Friday night-Sunday morning) just to have a peaceful weekend away and it was delightful! The house was absolutely stunning, had every amenity we could ever need, and was so peaceful. I was so bummed that it rained all weekend (we managed to slip into the hot tub in between rain squalls) because we wanted to utilize all the fun outdoor stuff, but we still had such a good time keeping ourselves entertained inside with how spacious and stocked the house was with games, a fireplace, and a tv in the upstairs living room. Overall it was a very relaxing weekend for us all and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Also, the little convenience store down the street was so helpful and stocked with plenty of produce that we thought we would have to go to a grocery store for! Definitely recommend going there if you forget any cooking foods you may need, as we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely book if you have the chance - thank you Josh!

We really enjoyed our stay; the house was ideally situated in a private, wooded area and yet just a few minutes drive into Manchester. The views from the house were spectacular. The house had a cozy mountain chalet feel and yet equipped with a very modern kitchen. We took advantage of both the fire pit and the hot tub.

Kelly's place is very cozy and the view of the lake is peaceful and you see the lake from pretty much everwhere in the cottage. Location is great: 5 minutes from Dunham for immediate needs. Dunham is pretty central if you want to visit all the different towns in the eastern townships. It is like 30 minutes (or even less) to the major ones (sutton, lake brome, knowlton, frelighsburg, bromont, granby). Tall people might want to be careful since the cottage has angle roofs so you might bump your head a bit. hehehe Kitchen was very functional, with everything you need.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location! We loved all the space and amenities, especially the hot tub and sauna. The host was very helpful and responsive as we were planning our trip. Half of our party had stayed there before and wanted to go back. Thanks for a great stay!

We used this chalet for a reunion of friends from university and found it perfect for our needs. The house and surroundings were beautiful, surpassing our expectations. It was far from town or restaurants, but the well equipped kitchen allowed us to cook as much as we needed. We loved using the nice deck, jacuzzi, yard, games, and kayaks to enjoy the lake experience. It was enough to keep us entertained and relaxed the whole stay. The host was nearby and very responsive although his preparations ensured we didn’t need much!

Had an amazing time at Sarah’s house. Well stocked kitchen, towels, bathroom supplies, games, outdoor activities. Loved being on the water and watching the sunset.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Sunset Chalet for our anniversary. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our weekend special. When we first checked in, there was soft music playing and mood lighting, making the cabin feel warm and cozy. They kindly provided us with a flower bouquet, an anniversary cake, treats, and wine. Feras wrote us an anniversary card that was personally addressed to me and my boyfriend; he had clearly read our reservation request closely and had thoughtfully curated our experience accordingly. Ultimately, we had a great stay and we would love to go back in the future.

We had a great time at Still Point & the surrounding areas. The house was well stocked with supplies. It was clean (keep in mind you are in the woods & mountains) & well maintained. Michael & Isabelle were easy to communicate with & quick to respond. The scenery around the house was beautiful & relaxing. Listening to the Loons just about every day & watching the beavers frolic one night was amazing. The surrounding areas & attractions were easily accessible & just a short drive. Yet, you felt like you were all alone & secluded when at Still point. Our kids had so much fun at the house & on all the adventures we took. The only downside was leaving! Thank you, Michael & Isabelle, for sharing your home & providing lasting memories for our family!!!

If you are looking for a lakefront property with mountain views, then this is your place. Top to bottom the house had everything you could ask for in a weekend getaway. There is a new paver patio out back with a really nice fire pit and hot tub. The house sleeps 10 people very comfortably. Overall we are very happy with our stay. I would love to stay here again. We had a perfect, relaxing long weekend thanks to Anna & JP's home.

This is a Stellar house, and property! The house was spotless. Check-in was simple, and the communication was excellent throughout the process. The only downside is having to take care of your own garbage by brining it to the local dump. When you have your family packed up for the weekend, it’s not very convenient to bring trash with you. Other than that single issue, this house is five stars across the board!
