Holiday houses in Colorado River

Beautiful comfortable inviting home. Cozy, comfortable & decorated so lovely. Hanging out on the front porch was our favorite. The view is beautiful. Highly recommend

I believe that any hospitality host should visit this place and take a lesson or two. This is the best presentation of a home that I have ever been to. Everything is neatly laid out for easy access. Something as mundane as a roll of toilet tissue isn't just placed on the roll in the bathroom. There's an art as to how it was presented. Same for kitchen cutlery and pots and pans. Beautiful presentation. The house is immaculate. The backyard is an Oasis onto itself. Finally, we enjoyed playing billiards each night. We were so taken in that we extended our stay the same day we checked in.

Stephanie’s place was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We had a drain issue on checked in and Stephanie quickly responded and had it promptly taken care of. Amazing communications. It’s a great place if you want to stay put and unplug. We didn’t realize the back and forth we’d be driving for things we planned on doing in Austin, and that was in no way a reflection on Stephanie and the wonderful accommodations.

My fiancé and I booked this place for our elopement. Karen was very kind and left personalized notes to congratulate us on our marriage. The surroundings were the most peaceful and quiet. My new wife and I could not have chosen a better place to start our marriage. We even had a deer walk up to us while we enjoyed our morning coffee to check us out! I cannot recommend this place and the host highly enough. This will be worth every penny you pay for it. My only regret is that the rain prevented us from lighting a fire and enjoying what I imagine are beautiful nights in one of my favorite parts of Texas.

Beautiful place! You cannot beat that view and having access to the beach was amazing! Would definitely stay here again. Leesa was very responsive and friendly. The kitchen was well-appointed, making it easy to cook.

We had a wonderful time! Sitting by the river was such a peaceful, serene experience. The little ones loved the swimming pool. The condo was perfect for us and had everything we needed.

Just a wonderful atmosphere! Peaceful and quiet (took advantage of birdwatching at one of the gazebos). Petted the charming goats and sheep. Walked across the dam to Big Rocks park. Ate supper at Grumps (yum!). Came back to our cabin and was greeted by a deer right at our parking space! Breakfast at Grounded Coffee (so glad we did!). Our original intention was to come for the dino tracks, which was foiled because of wet conditions, but it was worth the trip and we so enjoyed our stay at Country Woods Inn!

Joelann was a fabulous host! She was super friendly and helpful. The house was very comfortable and clean and the backyard was charming. The deer in the neighborhood were like everyone’s pets! They roamed from house to house and didn’t fear our dogs. We enjoyed watching them from the hot tub!! We will definitely go back if our daughter stay stationed at Fort Cavazos.

This house completely exceeded our expectations! There were so many activities and amenities that the group of teenagers I brought were easily entertained all weekend, even when the weather wasn’t cooperating. There is also enough space that everyone could spread out, and the layout is great. It’s in a super convenient location, so it was no problem to run to the store or go see a movie on a whim. The house was stocked with anything you could need. The area is quiet & peaceful with super nice neighbors. My kids are already asking me when we can go back!
