Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.

The container unit is private only for you. Its entrance is via the the subroom. This sunroom, as well as laundry space, garden and backoffice / storage space is shared with the other unit (2pax) Our local community also offers a small local beach bar, a pizza place and a micro brewery & hamburger restaurant.

Collares-Sintra Petit Palais is part of a historic villa in Colares, between the sea and the mountains, in the heart of the Serra de Sintra Natural Park, a UNESCO Cultural Landscape. It is the old Town Hall building, the old Court, and is located on archaeological ground in what is thought to be the first castle in Sintra, built before the year 1000. It was fully rehabilitated in 2024, and aims to provide our guests with the best experiences, in a calm and engaging location.
